Winter Show

The boys were all asleep by 1:00 and they were all back up by 6:00 a.m.  They watched a little tv and then started playing Wii and NERF again.  At 8:00 Todd made them all fruit smoothies and pancakes for breakfast.

They continued playing NERF.  At 9:00 Carmen came to get Brad.  The rest of the boys cleaned up and then I sent them all home.

Todd went to work and Cameron and I started cleaning up the Wii room and his bedroom.  Some of his Lego's were falling apart.  He fixed a couple and took a bunch down and put them into a tub to use to make his own creations.  His room is completely organized and looking good again.

In the Wii room Cameron gave 2 K'Nex roller coasters to Ryley and Tobias.  They were very excited.  He tried to give one to Alfredo but he said he didn't want it.  Cameron thought it was a great idea to share these with his friends.  He also thought it was a good idea to make some room since his birthday and Christmas are coming up.  He also had a pile to give to Manuel.  He was on a roll and did a great job cleaning, clearing, and organizing.

We took it easy and watched some Simpson's.  At 3:20 the Hindman's were at the door with Cameron's birthday present.  Cameron opened the brown box and and discovered a big NERF gun box inside.  I am not sure who was more excited....Cameron or Ryley and Tobias.  All three of them could not get it out of the box fast enough.  Ainsley just stood and watched.  Todd found the 6 D batteries that it needed and the boys put them in.  Cameron fired it.  All 3 of them were laughing and saying how cool it was.  Cameron gave each of the boys a turn.  Unfortunately we had to kick the Hindman's out so we could leave.

At 3:45 we walked over to the Renaissance with Carrasco's for the Teda International School Winter Show.  We found our seats in the front row and settled in for the show.  Right at 4:30 it started.  First the 7th grade band played, then the 8th grade band, and then Kindergarten performed.  Next it was grades 1-5.  There were a bunch of singing and dancing. performances.  An hours worth at least.  Most of the songs were very boring.  I can't believe the music teacher picked these songs.  Cameron had a speaking part and he did a wonderful job.  He spoke slowly, clearly, and at just the right pace.  We were very proud of him.  At the very end Cameron and some other kids had to make a circle and walk around on stage to represent the different nations.  All the kids did a great job.  At the end the band played again and then the jazz band.  An hour and 45 minutes later we were walking home.  It snowed while in the show but only enough to stick to cars.

Back to the apartment.  At 7:00 Ileana and Fredy came up and we sent Cameron down to their place with the other kids.  We had a drink and Todd made seared Tuna for them to have before we went to the party.  Bob and Jovi are moving to Mexico so they were having an Inventory Reduction Party.  They had to much liquor that they can't take with them so they invited a bunch of people over to help them drink it.  We were in trouble at the party because we only drink beer and we were not helping them.  Oh well.
