Super Saturday

We started the day off with a Spam breakfast.  Yep, Spam and eggs.  I tried it but Cameron and Todd ate it all and said it was good.  Cameron said the texture of the Spam was a little weird though.  Not so much the texture but more it just fell apart in him mouth.  Ick!

Who wouldn't want to eat this?

Spam with Bacon.

At 10:30 we were in the van headed to the Preschool Winter Show.  Cameron's little girlfriend, Haley, wanted us to go.  Her Daddy was in India and couldn't be there so the Wallace's took his place.  When she saw me, from across the room, she started yelling "Shelly".  I looked at her and she had the biggest smile.  She started telling her teacher "there's Shelly".  Then Cameron stood up and her smile got even bigger and the wave got bigger.  We heard her say "There's Cam a rone".  We made her whole day.

When it was Haley's turn to get on stage we walked over to the side she was on so I could get a couple pictures.  Her smile was so big and she just kept looking at Cameron.  She is so stinking cute.

Sweet little Haley.

Melisa dancing her heart out.

During one of the class performances the music changed to Hip Hop.  This little Chinese boy was bustin' a move.  It was so funny.  All the other kids were dancing a little but this kid took total control of the stage.  The crowd was going crazy.  Cameron knew Megan was filming because one of her girls was in the same group so after the show he asked her if she could post it on You Tube.  Then he told Todd and I all he wants for Christmas is that video so whenever he is in a bad mood he can watch it.  What a goofball.

Look at the parent paparazzi.

This is the Chinese dancing machine.

The Preschool show was way better than expected.  It was an hour long and those little kids were so cute.  So glad we went.  We were able to see a lot of our friends kids in the program.

Cameron with Haley and Maddie.

Haley had to put on her sparkly dress and get another
picture with Cameron.  Awwwww.

We ran home to go to the bathroom and then we headed to Tianjin.  Our first stop was Galaxy Mall.  It is the new mall with Toys R Us but we didn't tell Cameron it was there.  We walked around each floor checking out what was there.  We ended up in Lotte Department store on the 5th floor.  It is where the toy department is.  They had a lot of Lego's.  Some of the prices were close to home but some were way over priced.  At least we know there is another place to get toys or Lego's if needed.

Look...Santa.

Harry Potter Lego.

We continued to walk around and we finally walked towards TRU.  Cameron wasn't as excited as I was expecting.  He looked at the Lego's and the NERF guns.  Of course he found a gun he wanted but he decided not to get it because he is afraid he will get it for his birthday or Christmas.  Good decision on his part.  He ended up getting 2 Lego crash cars and another little car thing.  He was happy.

Toys R Us Baby!!

A parade of crazy looking creatures and animals went by.

Nice pig.

We jumped back in the van and we went to Texas BBQ Saloon.  It was new to Tianjin.  We ordered a bowl of chili, a bowl of smoked chicken soup, pulled pork pizza, half a chicken, and half rack of ribs.  It sounds like a ton but we wanted to sample a little of everything.  It was delicious.  The bartender was from Florida and was in Tianjin getting his masters degree.  He chatted with us a couple different times while we were there.  We ended up ordering two pizza's to take home.  We would highly recommend this new restaurant.  Yum.

Texas BBQ.  Pabst Blue Ribbon is the staple beer.  Yuck.

My guys trying the chili and smoked chicken soup.

The pizza, chicken, and ribs.  Yum.

Cameron enjoyed the ribs.
Shirt is pretty cool huh?

Back in the van and back to TEDA.  We stopped at the veggie market and Ashanti to pick up the steaks Cameron wants for his birthday.  Then back home.  We were so tired.  We watched Arthur's Christmas.  I fell asleep a couple times during it.

At 8:00 we took Cameron down to Carrasco's and we walked over to The Number 7 Pub for Neil's birthday party.  This Pub is new and pretty nice.  Amor and Neil had a ton of appetizers which were good.  My first plan was to be home at 9.  Of course I got a second wind and then we decided 10.  Well...then I called Cameron to see if he minded if we stayed just a little longer.  He had said he wanted us home early.  When I called he said he was having fun and didn't mind at all.

Happy 46th Birthday Neil.

We were just leaving (coats and gloves were on) when Gangnam Style, the song, came on.  Anyone that knows me knows I love having fun, don't mind being goofy, and love to dance.  Well, I performed the Gangnam dance to the best of my ability.  I have seen the video a billion times and watch Cameron do it all the time.  Everyone in the bar was enjoying my performance.  It was so funny.  We were finally out the door and headed for home.

We were taking the short cut to our apartment when a guard shined a flash light at us and yelled something at us.  We all just pretended we didn't hear him and continued on our way.  The funny part was we were about 3/4 the way to where we needed to be before we must have woke him up with our laughing and talking.  A guard at sleep...I mean work.  Welcome to China.

Grabbed Cameron and back up to our apartment.  It was 11:00.  Cameron asked if he could read.  I needed to shower because I smelled of smoke so we let him read until I was done.  He was pretty happy with that.  Off to bed.
