Goodbye, Baby, HUH?

Tonight was suppose to be a going away party for Jose Luis and Luz.  They were told they would be leaving on Dec. 19 to go home.  I got a text from Ileana saying they were told today that they were staying until at least February.  WHAT?  Great news but what about the going away party?  Going on as planned.

Todd called me and said "I have some news".  I told him I already new.  He said "Really?  What is it?"  I told him Jose Luis was staying.  He then said "But do you know what else?"  I said no and of course he decided to tease me and not tell me.  We hung up and I still didn't know.  Plus, I thought he was making it up.  I got an email saying "Ok, I'll tell you.  Psych.  In your face."  I sent a message back telling him he was mean.  Another message with the same kind of information.  Another message back saying I hope he likes sleeping on the couch and he was a big meanie.  The third message only said "She's pregnant".  WHAT?

I sent Ileana a message and she pretended she didn't know until I told her my whole conversation with Todd.  She finally said it was true but she wanted to tell us all at the party.  I told her I would pretend.  However, two hours later Luz posted a paragraph on Facebook.  I used my translator for the first and last line and could figure out she was telling everyone she was pregnant.  I sent Luz a message congratulating her.  She sent one back saying she wanted to tell us at the party.  Well HELLO, don't post it on Facebook silly girl.  I got a good laugh out of that one.

At 7:30 the Carrasco kids came to our apartment to stay with Cameron.  We went down to Carrasco's for the party.   The going away party turned into Yay, A Baby party. Another great, fun night.  Lots and lots of laughs.  These people are fantastic to be around.  Around 11:30 Jose Luis busted out his guitar and sang.  He is a really good singer.  Fredy is a good singer too.  What is funny about Fredy singing is the look on his face.  He looks like he is in pain.

We left at midnight.  I ran up and got the Carrasco kids and took them home.   Back home and off to bed.  2 couples stayed, singing, until 2:00 a.m.  We couldn't hear them. 

So glad Jose Luis and Luz will be around for awhile longer.  Even more excited they are going to have a baby.  They will be wonderful parents.
