Back in the van and we were headed to the Galaxy Mall to go to Toys R Us and Lotte Toy Store. On our way we passed a big body of frozen water. There were people ice skating, having pony pulling sleigh rides, ATV driving, ice sledding, and a bunch of other things. We asked Mr. Xue to take us there. The 3 of us jumped out of the van and walked in the gate. Mr. Xue parked the van. Next thing we knew he was standing right next to us with a big smile. Todd got us a double ice sled. Mr. Xue picked out our picks that we "drove" with. Cameron and I got ourselves loaded on this little wooden thing. We started pushing on the ice and cruising along. We figured out how to do a donut (sort of). It was fun but man it was it hard on the arms and shoulders. Ended up being a good workout. What a great surprise to our day.
Waiting to do some activities. |

And we are off. |
Those kids were impressed with our skills. |
After Cameron and I road around awhile we let Mr. Xue have a turn. He wanted Cameron to go with him. Those two took off around the ice. Mr. Xue had a big smile. Cameron then got off and let Mr. Xue do it by himself. Another huge smile. We think he was hoping we would give him a chance and of course we did. We had the sled thing for an hour. We rode it for about 30 minutes before taking it back.

And they are back. |
You could take a pony ride. Cameron and Mr. Xue are right in the middle coming towards the pony. |
Cameron is ready to drive solo. |
Todd then bought a turn on the ATV. The original plan was to let Cameron drive one and Todd was going to drive one. But at the last minute Cameron just wanted to ride on the back with Todd. I think driving on ice might have had him a little scared of the unknown. Todd and Cameron took off. They could ride it for 10 minutes. They went out to an open spot (just for the ATV) and Todd was making it swerve and was doing donuts. Cameron had a big smile on his face. Todd was going slow and being very careful so don't worry Grandma's. Todd asked Mr.Xue if he wanted to drive one but he said no. Each activity was only $6 so it was cheap, fun entertainment.
Mr. Xue had to help Cameron get behind Todd. |
Cameron is holding on for dear life. |
Cameron could have driven these funny little creature things. |
Todd was about to whip a donut. |
Time was up and Todd's hands were frozen. |
Back in the van and to the mall. We first went into Lotte Toy Store. They had a NERF gun Cameron wanted. Good news was it was on sale. It was the same price he could get it for at home. He was pretty excited. He found a Lego plane he has been wanting too but he decided to wait and check out Toys R Us before buying anything else.
Walking through Lotte we saw this golf bag. Cool. |
Down to TRU. I heard Todd say "Wow, that's cool". Cameron and I looked up and it was a Lego Year of the Snake set. Todd said "I'll even buy it". Sweet deal. Nothing really else Cameron wanted especially for the prices. They definitely do not mark the toys in China like they do in America. Holy Smokes.
Awesome Lego set. |
Back down to Lotte to get the airplane. Cameron spent $100 all together so that means he has $200 left. He was one happy boy when we went back out to the van. We headed to Texas BBQ for lunch. It was so good. This is our second time eating there and it was even better than the first time. Delicious.

Back in the van and back to TEDA. We unloaded all of our goods for the day and immediately there was a knock at the door. Ryley, Tobias, Ainsley, and Manuel. I swear they stalk us. haha They said they saw our van leaving Warner so they ran right over. Love those kids.
Todd grilled all kinds of yummy food. Cameron did his first Nike workout and lived...barely. We watched a movie and went to bed.
