Mani and Off To Beijing

We went outside like we do every morning at 7:40 and Mr. Xue wasn't there. Just as I was sending him a text he sent me one. He was in a traffic jam. Really? That is code for "I overslept." He said he would be there in 10 minutes. 8:10 he pulled in. I sent Cameron's teacher a note saying we would be late and why. He is suppose to be to school by 8:00. We HATE being late. He ran inside and off to class. I hit the gym then home to get ready.

I went to get my nails done with Michelle. Michelle leaves for Thailand tomorrow so she had to be beach ready. She was in the chair already. One girl doing pedi and the other doing mani. I walked in and sat at the table. Yuna did my manicure. All of a sudden the girl doing Michelle's manicure started coughing. Then she sneezed all in her hand. She was sick. She could barely breathe. The girl doing her pedi was also not feeling great. For the next fifteen minutes they were hacking and sneezing all around Michelle. She was freaking. One because she was leaving for vacation and did not want to be sick and two because she is a huge germaphobe. Yuna finally got her a mask to wear. The pedi girl had a mask on and mani girl finally put one on. Yuna almost always wears one.  I was the only one not wearing one. Hopefully I won't get sick.

Germs were everywhere.  Poor Michelle.

Mani girl finished working on Michelle and sat across from me. I got up and moved to the other side of the room because she was still hacking. As pedi girl was finishing she was sneezing all over Michelle's feet. For some reason her mask was down. Michelle got her eyebrows waxed and her toe hair. Sounds weird I know but I might have to try it just because I can.

As we were leaving Michelle and I were rehashing the whole morning. Luckily we were both still laughing. Michelle couldn't wait to get home and scrub herself down in the shower. We made a quick stop to the gym on 3rd Avenue to check it out. No one spoke English but a super nice Chinese lady was just leaving and said she could help. She ended up taking us on a tour. They have tons of machines and a room where they do all kinds of classes.

Back in the van and dropped Michelle off. I headed home and killed time by watching my last episode of Revenge. I can't wait until January 23 because the second seasons starts here.  ABC won't let me watch online because when I click on a new episode it says something like 'I seem to be outside the United States'. Shoot. I'm dying to know what happens.

Picked Cameron up at school and we headed to Beijing. Todd called to see where we were and Mr. Xue said we would be there in ten minutes. In ten minutes I looked up. And the idiot award today goes to ...ME. We were entering the airport. I forgot to tell our driver Todd came into Beijing early and we needed to go the hotel. SHOOT! I actually used a few choice words. Ten minutes turned into 45. Finally at hotel.  I can't be mad because it was totally my fault.

We went to the room and then left to go to the Park Side for dinner. It was really good. Cameron loved the ribs and Todd said he would have a hard time not ordering his chicken dish if we return there. Good stuff.

Cameron devouring his ribs.

Back in the van and back to the hotel. We went to the lounge. We played a couple rounds of Apples to Apples in a can. Not quite like the real game and this one is a bit odd with 3 players. Back down to the room to watch Tomb Raiders. Todd and I feel asleep but Cameron said it was ok. Off to bed.
