Tuesday--Seoul

Went to breakfast then got in a cab to go to some markets. On our way there we hit a bunch of traffic. Our cabbie was saying something in Korean then started saying "oh my God, oh my God" as he shook his head. Those were obviously the only words in English he knew.

Our first stop was Dongdaemun Market. Rows of stalls selling anything you could possibly want. We wandered up and down each of the streets. Cameron found a toy he wanted, him and I got a couple shirts, and Todd got bowls. This may not sound exciting to any of you but let me tell you Todd was jacked. They were the bowls we ate our Bibimbap out of the night before. We bought the bowls and trays. The bowls are made out of clay and will stay hot forever. Todd already has plans on different things he is going to use them for. He was very excited.

Arriving at the market.

Ready to look around.

Todd found his bowls.

Cameron found a toy.

This guy is letting Cameron try the candy he just made out of a
hard block of honey.  It was amazing to watch.

These two guys loved their job.  So funny.

We hopped in a cab and went to Myeongdong next. It was a mixture of market shops, high end shopping, and restaurants. We wandered up and down those streets as well. We did not buy anything there.

Entering the new market.

Taking a break and enjoying the sun.

Yep, we saw this movie.

A whole display of "butt crack pants".

Cameron sure was thirsty.

Back in a cab. We were going to go to Itaewon again but as we were headed there we saw a Harley Davidson shop. We had the cabbie drop us off there instead. We looked around and bought a couple things. We then decided to just go back to the hotel so we didn't have to continue to haul around all our treasures. Found a cab and made the drive back.

Look what we found Grandpa Casey.

Harley Davidson of Seoul.

At the hotel we hung out for awhile. We decided to venture out to the market areas around our hotel. We walked through the underground shopping first. Then to the streets. Todd went to go in one of the markets and Cameron stopped. He said he didn't want to go in. We asked why and he said "Isn't this the place we saw the dead dog the last time?" Todd said he didn't think so. We walked around. My stomach was a little nervous thinking about the dog conversation. We almost made it out when all of a sudden I spotted it...so did Cameron. Dogs in a cooler. Ugh! Man, that is just one animal I can't deal with people eating.

Taking another break.

Back street markets area.

We found an outdoor sporting goods shop. Actually Todd saw it numerous times as we drove by and wanted to check it out. We ended up buying Cameron 2 pairs of shoes. Tennis shoes and all purpose shoes (sort of a sandal but closed toed and waterproof). The ladies thought we were crazy buying the size we did but that is what Cameron's foot size was. They couldn't believe he was 10. Cameron was one happy kid.

Back to the hotel. We had a little time before heading to dinner so we went to the lounge patio so we could sit in the sun and fresh air. We had the Family Wallace stock talk. Listening to Cameron present the stocks he thinks we should invest in is amazing to me. He is definitely Todd's son. I feel like I'm in Lala land when we have this talk. Cameron can tell you why he thinks we should get it, what they all do, who their competitors are, etc. We talked about this for a good hour and we made some great family decisions. It's never too early to get Cameron learning about this stuff.

Cameron getting ready for his presentation.

Listening to what Cameron had to say.

Cameron's new shoes.

Off to Korean BBQ. Yes, again. Todd ordered pork and Korean beef. We thought this was what we had the other night but it wasn't. The Korean beef was different. It came in a bowl with onions and peppers (I think that's what it was anyway). The lady cooked it up and we ate it all. The Korean beef was good but not as good as the pork, in my opinion and not as good as the beef we had the other night. We still walked out of the place stuffed.

Ready to get our grub on.

The Korean Beef went on.

Back to the room to watch The Addams Family movie. It was 5:30. Todd and I both slept on and off through it. Pathetic, I know. We watched some Ridiculousness and the boys decided to get a couple pizzas from room service. They weren't very big and they just needed a little something. We watched a little more tv then off to bed.
