Monday--Seoul

We went to breakfast and then jumped in a cab. Our first stop was the Trickeye Museum. It was very interesting. It was a bunch of paintings. If you positioned yourself correctly and the person taking pictures was in the right spot...it looked as if you became part of the picture. Some of them were awkward/inappropriate but others were really cool. We had a great time at this museum.

We walked in the museum and this is the first thing we saw.  Gross.

Cameron is getting his ticket.

Hmmm, where did Cameron go?

NO!  Watch out.

How did Cameron get bigger than me?

That is amazing how Cameron stickes on the wall.

Todd's hands and knees were very sticky.
I'm holding Cameron's head.

Shrunken Cameron.

This was Todd's favorite spot.

Going for a ride.
One of the inappropriate ones we saw.

Hold on Cameron.

Don't eat Todd.

Pretty as a picture.

Angel Todd.
Oh, Todd is so strong.

Cameron in the hour glass.

Nice fro's.

Just hanging with the panda.

Way to make her fly Cameron.
Yeah, Mr. President...it's Todd Wallace.

Hey, look at my boxers.

I can't believe we are letting Cameron drive the bus.

Who is going to win this battle?

These were the funniest chairs.

Do you mind if I go to the bathroom?

In a cab again and we went to the Coex Aquarium. It was ok. Not a lot of cool fish to look at but we did get to see the seals and penguins. They were both fun to watch. It didn't take too long to go through the aquarium. Of course we ended in the gift shop. Cameron found the Lego light saber guy he has been wanting so we bought it. He was one happy kid.
Checking out the fish.

Cameron has a shrunken head.

This toilet was in a glass display box.  Good thing the sign says
"This is for display only".

Little people with big mouths.

Looking at the fish in the big tank.

This fish had the cutest face.

Happy boy.

We were starving. Back in a cab and back to the mall by our hotel. We wanted Over The Border again. We ordered and ate some of their yummy thin chips while we waited. It got awful quiet when our food appeared. We ate like we hadn't eaten in 3 days. It was delicious again.

We decided to check the movie theater to see if the new Iron Man movie was playing in English. It was our lucky day because it was starting in 5 minutes. We got our tickets, found some seats, and watched the movie. I thought it started out slow but got better. Cameron and Todd both thought the whole movie was good.

Back to our room to relax for an hour before our driver picked us up. We were off to Jump, a theater production.  We stopped for Bibimbap first. It was a traditional Korean meal. It was noodles, rice, and vegetables in a bowl. Needless to say I was not loving it. Cameron had about 2 bites and Todd ate it all...and enjoyed it. While we were there we also ordered Korean BBQ which was good. I have to have some meat.

Back in the van and off to the theater. We got our tickets and as our guide was taking us to the elevator Todd said "hey, there's Cuevas'". They were in Starbucks. They were also going to the show. Too funny. We went upstairs and waited to get in our seats. Once inside we chatted with Cuevas' until it was time to take our seats. We were in the same row but they were in the middle section and we were on the side.

In the theater.

Cameron, Melisa, and Manuel before the show.

As we were waiting this very old looking man started walking down the isle. He stopped by Manuel and sat there for awhile. We realized this guy was part of the show. Cameron was waving at Melisa but the guy thought he was waving at him so he waved back. The guy then decided to walk through their row so he made every person stand up so he could get by. He walked with a cane and really slow. We told Cameron he must be coming to get him. Cameron was a little worried. Once he was to our side he sat on the arm rest of the girl on the end. He made her rub his shoulders. He then walked though the row again to get back by Manuel. Lots of laughing in the theater. He stopped at Melisa, gave her a high five, and then gave her a piece of candy. He then looked our way, pointed, and walked back through the row again.

This time when he got to our row he pointed at Todd. Todd shook his head no and pointed to Cameron. The old guy shook his head and pointed for Todd to go to him. Todd finally did. The old guy made him turn around so he was facing the stage. He was trying to get Todd to do something but he didn't talk so Todd wasn't sure what he wanted. Todd sat on the step. Nope. He stood back up and the old guy jumped on his back. He made Todd give him a piggy back ride up to the stage steps. Todd dropped him off on the steps and turned to go back to his seat. The old guy made a noise and Todd looked back at him.  He motioned him to go back. Todd did and the guy gave him a piece of candy. He then motioned like he wanted Todd to open the candy and put it in his mouth. When Todd tried to give it to him he shook his head no and sent Todd back to his seat. It was hilarious. Todd hates being called out like that which makes it even funnier.

There was very little talking in the show. It was a combination of martial arts, comedy, and a story being told. The funniest scene was them doing a fighting sequence in slow motion. After that one guy went in the audience and grabbed a guy to help with the next scene. They grabbed Manuel. He went up on stage and the actors patted him down. They found knives, screw drivers, and swords (not really but they made it look like that). He then had to repeat the actions one guy did. A couple kicks but then a front and back somersault. Again, very funny. Pretty weird they picked two people out of the crowd from TEDA and who knew each other. Maybe the guy was watching us chat at the beginning so he knew we were friends. Who knows.

The show was an hour and 20 minutes long. Overall it was pretty good. We all thought it got a little boring in parts because it was basically the same things happening. We were glad we saw it and would recommend it. I would skip the dinner part of the tour though.

After the show we found our tour guide. As we were walking to the van he told us to stop in front of a hotel while he went to get the van from a parking garage. Where we were standing there was a little person (midget) for the doorman. Cameron wanted his picture with him but of course I did it slyly instead of asking. In the van and off to the hotel. By the time we arrived I was irritated because our driver played with every gadget the entire way...windows up, windows down, radio loud, radio soft, and he kept shifting the van which he did not need to do. This went on over and over and over again.

Cameron and the little doorman.

Back at the hotel around 10:00 p.m. Off to bed.
