Compliment and Assembly

On Wednesday Cameron, Ryley, and Tobias were outside playing lazer tag.  Our friend, Jessica, brought her twins out to play.  Below is the text message she sent me:

Once again, Cameron proves how awesome he is. He was hanging out with his own friends but invited Joe to play along. Joe was so happy and all those boys were so nice. Good work, Mom. I will stop by some day to take notes... Before its too late for my kids!
The boys came up and told me Joe was playing with them and how much fun he was having.  I told Cameron about the text and he said "Tell her anytime she sees us outside to send Joe down.  We don't mind playing with him".  How sweet.  Joe and Lilah are 4.  There are quite a few little girls around but Joe usually does not have any boys to play with.  They just moved to the tower by use so hopefully he will get some guy time now.  Our big kids have no problem playing with him.  Especially Cameron.  He has always been good with little kids.  He definitely gets that from me!

Thursday TIS was having their end of the month assembly.  I asked Cameron if he was doing anything in and he said their class was hosting.  I told him I would go.  I don't usually go when I know Cameron isn't doing anything because they are painful.  So boring.

I had lunch with Stine and Michelle.  Then Ileana and I went to the assembly.  They started off by singing the Spiderman theme song.  Their virtue of the month is perseverance so the whole next part was talking about that and Spiderman.  I could only hear parts of it so I wasn't too sure how they tied that together.

The opening slide.

Doesn't Cameron look thrilled?

Cameron had a speaking part.

Mrs. Williamson then called out all the kids names, in grades 3-5, that scored above the national percentile on the testing.  Cameron was one of them.  A couple other grades sang and that was it.  Grabbed Cameron and went home.

Cameron's name being called.
For some reason Cameron was standing on the girl side. Hmmmm.

I think we may have finally turned the corner as far as weather.  Spring has finally arrived.
