Phuket--Day 5

Up and breakfast. We headed to the pool. Today was the last day that the Harwood's would be around so Cameron wanted to be with them. We were going to go to the JW to swim but Cameron said no. We asked why because he said that pool was better than ours. He paused and said "well, because the Harwood's aren't there". Fair enough.

Cameron played with Wesley until 10:10. Then they met the girls over at the kids club to make cookies. They got a ball of dough and could use cookie cutters to make what they wanted. Cameron made a chicken, bunny, and a circle.

What a cute baker.

Rachel and I decided to paint Balik shirts. I made one for Cameron. It took quite a long time to paint. It turned out pretty good. It poured down rain for about 10 minutes. It was mostly cloudy for most of the morning which was a nice break from the burning sun. After that Cameron and Grandma played a game of giant checkers. We then went to have lunch.
We aren't sure if they realize it is raining.

It was pouring.

Thank goodness Todd likes to cook. He whipped up some chicken. He also cut up oranges and watermelon for us. He's so nice to us. We had lunch outside which was nice. We did some swimming in our pool.

Lunch time.

At 2:00 we went over to the ice cream shop to meet Harwood's for a treat.  The kids all checked out the menu and then ordered.  Once the ice cream came the Harwood kids got goofy.  Cameron thought they were hilarious.  After our snack we went back to the room.

Nice smiles Wesley and Charlotte.

He is thinking 'What on Earth?'

Wesley was covered with ice cream when he was done.

The ice cream was Grandma approved.

We headed back to the big pool.  We went back to the room to get ready to got on a bike ride. Before we left Tatum came riding up on the elephant to our room.  What a silly girl.  Off for the bike ride. The bikes were less than comfy. My goodness my booty hurt. The ride was nice though. We went around a little lake and stopped by the beach. It poured down rain right before we left but then it was nice the rest of the ride.

Here comes Tatum.

More elephant hugs.

Family bike ride.

Cameron's bike was a too little for him.

Todd and I are like twins.

Back at the hotel. We went back to the pool. It was 5:00. Dad asked us what time we were going to dinner. He was excited to go back to Bill Bentley's.  However, we had a surprise up our sleeve. We played in the pool and watched kids fish. We then played some volleyball. Todd headed back to the room. At 6:10 the rest of us headed back to the room. I distracted my parents as we got out of the pool because we could see our room and guys were there setting up. We walked towards our room and my dad asked why there were carts by our gate. As we walked in there was a table set up and two guys working. I said happy birthday and happy anniversary. We had a private BBQ dinner cooked at our room. Two guys brought everything and cooked/served it. Todd was in the bushes filming as we walked up. Mom and dad were very surprised. We quickly changed. We played some Euchre while the guys set up. Unfortunately it started to rain and the guys had to move the table inside. That was a bummer but it was still nice.

Setting up for the BBQ.

Moved it inside while we played cards.

They brought in a big tub of beer in ice to start things off. They asked us to go sit down. First we were brought a roll and drinks. Then we were served a salad. Then a Greek salad. Big prawns were up next. After that was sausage and sea bass. Those were both really good. Then came tenderloin. Yum! Then vegetables and sirloin. Next was lamb. Oh my goodness were we all full. They said they would be back in 15 minutes with dessert.

The food.

The beer.

The fancy table.

The cool people.

The master griller.

We finished our Euchre game. Mom and I won. So, now we were tied and need a play off game. The guys came back with our desserts. A big plate of fruit which Mom and Cameron enjoyed. A bowl of chocolate and vanilla ice cream that Cameron also enjoyed. Two big pieces of very yummy chocolate cake which Dad and I enjoyed very much. We did share a little with the others.

One stuffed boy.

He still had room for ice cream though.

The cake and more ice cream.

The fruit plate.

By this point we were all stuffed. We went outside where there were a bunch of stars in the sky. Cameron decided to go skinny dipping again. We may have created a monster. Todd kept flipping the lights on and off which was driving Cameron crazy but was also making him laugh. All of a sudden it got cloudy and started raining. We all ran inside. Cameron went right to the shower. It was bed time. Another great day in Thailand.
