Manic Monday

The alarm went off at 6:30 and I wasn't sure what it was at first. I didn't wake up once during the night and I was so wishing it wasn't get up time. Bummer...6:30. I got up and everyone was still sleeping. I had to shake Cameron a couple different times to get him up. He looked so comfy.

Mom and I took Cameron to school and then walked home. It was a nice, sunny, clear morning. Back home we watched some tv, checked email and news back home to make sure we weren't missing anything, and then got ready. A worker came to measure the window for a new screen. I ran down to Ileana's to order Halloween stuff for our party on Taebow...the Chinese version of eBay. Febe, our Chinese instructor, came over to help. Trouble was Ileana's Internet didn't work so we got nothing done.

We walked over to the Third Avenue veggie market. We went to my veggie lady and she wasn't there. It was some man. A lady next door came over to help him. We got a bunch of veggies and I was worried about the cost because it took him a long time to come up with a total. It was still dirt cheap so I will go back. I'm not sure where my girl went. Maybe she was just gone for that day. We hit my fruit lady next. We got all kinds of good stuff. Some of it was heavy to walk home with but we made it

At 1:00 Mr. Xue picked us up to go to the hardware store first. Dad's eyes lit up when he saw some of the things he saw. He wants to go back to check things out. We found hamburger buns, which are hard to find, and Pepsi Max for my Dad. He wasn't enjoying Coke Zero.

Next stop was Nick's Mart. We found more Pepsi Max and regular Diet Coke for my Mom. We also got some chocolate licorice...Yum! The grocery store was next. We stocked up on all kinds of food.

Back home to drop everything off and then to school to watch Cameron play soccer. Back home again. Cameron played with the kids while Dad and I made egg stuff for breakfast for the week and a batch of salsa. Cameron came home just in time to get the grill ready. Dad grilled hamburgers and brats. Dinner was awesome. We hadn't had a meal at home in awhile.

After dinner we played Euchre. Cameron definitely has the hang of it. Mom and I were winning 10-2 and they made a big come back. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough. We won 15-13. Off to bed for everyone except me. I worked on the blog and waited for Todd to call. He was at dinner with another guy so he couldn't call until 9:40.
