Phuket--Day 3

Up and put our suits on. Had breakfast and headed outside. We started a family shuffleboard tournament. First up was Cameron vs. Grandpa. Grandpa won. Next was Me vs. Todd. I smoked him. Once Todd and Cameron were out they didn't want to watch the tournament any more so they headed to the pool. I played my mom next and I won. Then it was Grandpa vs Me for the championship. Sad to say but he smoked me.

We were all in the pool along with the Harwood's. The kids had a great time playing. We bought Cameron a tube so they were floating and climbing around on that. They then played Monkey in the Middle until lunch time. Back to the room to eat and rest. We also needed a break from the very strong sun. Cameron ate an entire pizza all by himself. This was right after he said he wasn't hungry.
I didn't really lay out like this.

Chris and Todd playing with the kids.

Cameron, Wesley, and Charlotte playing in the water.
Underwater pictures.

Cameron, Wesley, and Charolotte being silly.

Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa.

Playing Monkey in the Middle.

Cameron LOVED having other kids to play with.
Lunch time.

Cameron was going to go to Thai boxing lessons but decided to rent get a movie and rest before the Fantasea show tonight. He was one tired boy. Too much fun and sun. I think we were all happy to take a break. He actually fell asleep too.

No resting for me.

At 4:40 we were on the FantaSea bus. We drove for over an hour to get to the FantaSea place. We were in the back of the bus which made it worse. Once there we got out and Cameron and I got the tickets. We took some pictures before entering Phuket FantaSea...the Ultimate Cultural Theme Park. Ok, let me just say the word "ultimate" might be a huge stretch. This place was one big street with "getcha" shops. Some of the buildings were neat but mostly gaudy. We found the buffet restaurant and found our seats. This hall was huge. There was a lot of different places serving all different foods.
Love my family.

Cameron was so glad to have Grandma and Grandpa with.

Love this kid so much.

SO cute.

Headed to FantaSea.
Cameron and Grandpa fighting like girls.

Cameron thought these elephants were neat.

Todd jumped in the Russian tour to find out what to do at FantaSea.

Ready to check out FantaSea.

Nice face Cameron.

This guy was cool.

This is the Elephant Theater.  The show takes place here.

Entering the Buffet for dinner.

Our restaurant.

After dinner we walked around outside because we had 2 hours to kill before the show which started at 9:00 p.m. We walked through all the shops, a tiger jungle which had 2 tigers we could barely see, an arcade that Cameron didn't want to play anything, we watched about 5 minutes of a show because it was not good, walked around some more, and went to the elephant theater where the real show was. We waited outside for about 5 minutes.

Mom's favorite...fried chicken and watermelon.

Cameron ate a lot of watermelon.

Cameron tried on this Loser...I mean Luigi hat.

FantaSea sure had a lot of Angry Bird stuff for sale.

Oh No Cameron!!

A lot of ways to say Goodbye.

The short outdoor show.

Grandma and Grandpa found a new friend.

Cameron bought a Mr. Muchacho.  He named him.
We think this guy must be the mascot or something for FantaSea.
Cameron thought he was hilarious looking.

The same guy is driving behind Cameron.

Waiting for the show.

They opened the doors and we went in. We got asked if we had cameras and phones. Of course we did but we still got patted down and they waved a wand around us to verify we did. We were sent to the camera depository area. We were suppose to check in our electronics. They are very serious about no recordings of their production. We walked that direction but did not check our stuff in. That is just weird. I was pretty sure I could control myself from videoing.

We found our seats. We watched some very rude people in front of us refuse to stand up and let others in their row...3 times. They even made a couple climb over seats instead of standing up. This same group used their cell phone to record parts and text during the show. How irritating and rude.

The show was actually good. After the first elephant came out Cameron leaned over to me and whispered "I changed my mind. Instead of a quad when we get back, I want an elephant". I laughed. However, during the last act with 20 or so elephants on stage pooping and peeing he changed his mind. Man, elephants can drop quite a lot of poop at one time.

After the show we raced back to our van so we didn't have to sit in back again. The ride home was only about 45 minutes. Jumped in bed quickly. Early morning again.
