Up and had breakfast. On our tour van at 8:00. Haywood's were in a different van but we were going on the same tour. We drove for an hour to the Royal Phuket Marina. We took sea sickness pills just in case. They had them at the gift shop for free to use as needed. That was pretty nice. We got flippers and boarded our boat. We were excited to hear we were on the same boat as Harwood's. .

All aboard. Our first stop was Viking Cave, about an hour boat ride away. This is where there were bird nesting swallows. It was nothing special. The guides through in some fish food and a bunch of fish were around the boat. That was kind of cool.
The water was so pretty. |
We are not sure what this guy was doing. And does he live here? |
All the fish. |
Next stop was Pileh Cove. There we could jump off the boat or dive since it was so deep. We swam in the water for about 20 minutes. The water was so clear and pretty. Todd was doing cannon balls off the boat too. Back on board.
Our next stop is in this cove. |
Cameron couldn't wait to jump in off the boat. |

Our next stop was Maya Bay Beach. It was made famous because they filmed the movie "The Beach" there. None of us had ever heard of the movie but we still enjoyed the beach. It was crowded and small and a little dirty but still ok. We were there for 20 minutes or so. Our guide told Todd he would skip this but some people would complain because it was in the brochure. It was fine. Back on the boat.
They back all the boats in. You have to be careful walking over all the anchors in the sand. |
Here is where we were. |
Cameron and Todd hanging out. |
We saw a lot of these cool boats. |
Next stop was "The Monkey Beach". We pulled into a spot and I immediately saw monkeys hanging in the trees. We pointed them out to the kids. They were immediately excited. They were given bananas to throw to the monkeys. They turned the boat around to let the back have a turn. The monkeys were cute.

Moving the boat in closer. |
Next stop was snorkeling in the clear waters at Loh Samah Bay. They through in fish food and handed out bananas to everyone. Who knew fish would eat bananas! Cameron had a ton of fish swarming him. It was pretty neat. Back on the boat.

Next stop was lunch. We went to the Phi Phi Natural Resort. It was a buffet which had really good food. Todd even said it was the best food he had so far. The scenery was beautiful. The water was such a pretty blue. After lunch we took some pictures then got back on the boat.

Our next stop was Bamboo Island. Gorgeous. Soft, white sand and beautiful, clear water. More pictures then swimming. A guy caught a fish and put it in a cup. He gave it to Cameron. Cameron showed it to Wesley and then set him free. After an hour we were back on the oat headed to the Marina again.

Todd and Cameron found this lizard on the island. |
It was a much rougher ride on the way back. We ran into some rain. It was pelting the kids in the face which they thought was very funny. It didn't last long which was a good thing. Glad to be back at the dock.
The tour was fantastic. The people were great. They provided all kinds of water, pop, and fruit all day long. All around this was a great day. Lots of sun and fun again.
We got back to the hotel around 6 and went right to the pool. The water was as warm as a bath. It was fantastic. We stayed in the pool until about 7:15. We ordered all kinds of food for dinner. We all showered and waited for the food. It arrived around 7:45. Good stuff. We cleaned up and then played Euchre. It was Cameron and grandpa vs. Me and Grandma. Todd was the coach for Cameron. Lets just say Cameron and Grandpa were lucky and there will be a rematch.
Cleaned up and waiting for food. |
Everybody ordered what they wanted. |
Todd's dinner was served in a pineapple. |
A little Magnum ice cream bar for a snack and then off to bed. Fun day.
