Parents--Day 1

I woke up at 9 and jumped off the futon.  I couldn't believe it was that late already.  Skipper, I mean Cameron was sitting in the chair watching tv.  He said he had just gotten up too.  Todd went to work at 7 but I didn't hear him at all.  I unpacked some of my parents bags with the stuff they brought for us.  It was like Christmas.  Finally at 10:00 my dad came out.  About 5 minutes later my mom was up.  She couldn't believe it was after 10.  We got all the goods put away that my parents brought for us.

Mom and Dad brought some things for Cameron so they gave those to him.  He was a very happy kid with the Harley watch and Nerf gun.  Him and Grandpa immediately got the gun out and assembled it and put the batteries in.  He loaded it with disks and started firing away around the apartment.  He set up his little Lego guy and tried shooting him down.  He loves dart guns.

Cameron has quite a collection of dart guns.

At 11:30 we all walked over to Ashanti for lunch and a Halloween meeting.  My parents, Cameron, Me, Jessica, Sharla, Ileana, Stine, and Annie were all there.  We got the plans worked out for trick or treat and had a great lunch.  Around 1:15 we walked home.  At 2:00 Mr. Xue picked us up.  We went to the new and improved Tanggu Veggie Market.  It looks a lot better after the remodel.  Cleaner and brighter that is for sure.

We bought chicken, veggies, and fruit.  We also walked through the fish market.  It was crazy busy today.  With the National Holiday next Monday people must have been stocking up on their seafood.  There were all kinds of crazy looking fish.  People were boxing seafood up in Styrofoam coolers and hauling them out.  As we were walking by one lady digging through crabs she picked a dead one up and through it towards the drain.  The funny part is it almost landed on my mom's foot.  She about had a freak out.  I couldn't help but laugh.

All kinds of seafood.

New and improved fruit section.

We stopped at Tesco in Tanggu to buy some wrapping paper.  I also had to buy a case of beer only because they were selling it in a recyclable type red Tsingtao bag.  I bought it because of the bag.  Mom bought a cute pair of Chinese slippers...just what she needed.

This package made us laugh.

Cameron got a giant plastic tube of toothpaste.

Back in the van and back home.  Cameron played with the kids while the rest of us prepared for dinner and chatted.  Dinner, hung out, and off to bed early.  So happy to have my parents visiting.

Cameron, Ryley, and Tobias having a nerf fight.

Three silly boys.

Cameron and Grandma organized his dart gun closet.

Dinner time.
