Gas Leak

I was at the apartment having a relaxing day when Ileana called.  She was on her way back from Beijing and she asked if I had received a message from Rachel.  I said no.  She said the message was that there was a gas leak at school and all the kids needed to be picked up.  WHAT?  Of course panic mode set in.  As I was talking to her I got the text.

I hung up from her and sent Mr. Xue a message telling him "Lai Kuai"  which means come fast.  I waited a minute and when he didn't answer me I called him.  I told him the same thing and he made a sound like "Hmmmmm" like he was thinking if he could come or not.  So, I said it again but louder thinking he would get the message.  He did.

I finally got an e-mail from school and Mr. Singer called to let me know I needed to pick Cameron up.  I told him as soon as my driver arrived I would be there.  I walked out to the corner so that he didn't have to come all the way back to our apartment building.  I saw the van flying down 2nd avenue.  I thought he was going to go around the corner at about 100 miles an hour but he saw me and slammed on the brakes and came to a screeching halt.  I jumped in and he peeled out.  He drove very quickly to school.  I walked in and found Cameron and all 3 of the Carrasco's.  We jumped in the van and went back to our apartment.  I made them chocolate chip muffins and they played wii until Ileana got back.

Happy to have an early out.
