Heading Back To TEDA

Sunday

Everyone slept better than expected. Up and packed by the time two of our people brought breakfast at 6:30. Fruit, cereal, toast, congee, and some Mongolian dish. Cameron ate the cereal without milk. I didn't eat any of the breakfast. I chose a granola bar instead. We waited until 7:30 for our people to pick us up to go to the airport. All 4 of them were at our yurt to walk us out to the van. We loaded up and said our goodbyes to three of our people. They probably went back to rest after all the walking we had them doing yesterday.

Sound asleep.

In the van and we made our way to the airport. Yoko slept a lot. She even slept through the 4 wheelin' part. Not sure how she did that because it was a bumpy ride. Mr. Li kept looking at her like she was crazy or something. She woke up just in time to let us out of the van at the airport. We said goodbye to Mr. Li and made our way inside. Yoko walked us in and we said goodbye to her. Todd got our tickets and we headed to KFC for some food. Found our gate and waited. Oh no. A special message was written on a board by our gate. Todd went to see what that was all about. Phew, about a 15 minute delay. No problem. Jumped on the bus that took us out to the plane, boarded, and flew home to TEDA. A 30 minute car ride home. Cameron said he was tired.  Boy, he wasn't kidding.  He was out like a light. Started laundry and watched a movie and relaxed.

Alien??

A very exhausted boy.

Overall this was an outstanding vacation. The best one we have had in china. The Shangri La went way out of their way to make sure we were taken care of the whole time. We did talk a lot about how Cameron's life is like Adam Sandler's kids in the movie Grown Ups. He lives a different life then a lot of kids. He remembers places by what they had in lounges (most kids don't hang out in lounges) and he had at least three Chinese people with him all weekend getting anything and everything he might want. There are other similarities but I won't list them all. The point is Cameron is a very lucky kid who has had, and will continue to have, many great opportunities in life. Hopefully he knows he lives the good life.
