Great day at the beach again. Sunny and hot though. The kids played and had a blast. It was a little weird because they took turns playing the dad, mom, and baby. Funny but still weird for 11, 9, 8, and 4 year old kids. Maybe not the 4 year old but the big boys??????
Back home around 4:15, showered, and headed to Meet the Teacher night at school. Cameron, Me, and Alfredo grabbed a cab at 5:40 over to the school. The Carrasco's had to be there earlier for the little younger ones and my driver had the day off.
At school we found Cameron's classroom and talked with Mr. Singer. He did not have a formal program. He handed me a piece of paper to read and asked if I had any questions. There were only 3 other people there and they were Korean. Cameron and I sat in the back by ourselves discussing his thoughts on school. He is ready to get the year started. He is excited which is awesome. They have the accelerator reading program this year which he had at Seton so he is excited.
He is ready to start school. |

We waited outside so we could catch a ride home with Carrasco's. Once at home Cameron grabbed some stuff and headed downstairs. He was spending the night with Alfredo. I had a night to myself. I watched some bad tv, ate nachos for dinner, and then laid in bed watching tv.

At 10:30 I heard a knock on the door. Cameron. I opened the door and he had a tear in his eye and said he wasn't feeling very well. Ileana came up and said she didn't know what was wrong but he just said he didn't feel good. Once inside I asked Cameron what was going on. He said his belly did hurt but he also just wanted to come home. Lately he has not wanted to be away from me. After a little conversation in bed (he slept with me) he said he was just really missing home. He said he got to use to America again when we were home.
We just need school to start to take his mind off of home. He loves being in China. He loves his friends here. But at night, sometimes, when he is over tired is when he starts to miss home. Nothing will ever take the place of home in America.
