At the gym we see all kinds of weird things but today we were doing aerobics and a Chinese lady came in and stood right by us. She didn't do anything for awhile but she finally started doing some exercises. The funny part is she had on shower flip flops from the locker room. Who does aerobics in flip flops? Stine said when she went to class the other night there was a girl in high heels. Seriously people. During our class it was time to get mats and she took my spot. Is there no etiquette in China? No, there is not! I had to move all my stuff and yes, I did give her the look.

Wednesday all of our drivers decided to "go on strike". They weren't happy with the pay and not being reimbursed I guess was the issue. There was a big meeting. I would have loved to been a Chinese speaking fly on the wall for that. The "strike" only lasted while they were in the meeting because all the drivers were around to pick kids up from school. They have another meeting next week to vote yes or no on whatever the company offered. Some of the ladies got info. from their drivers but our driver never said anything. The funny part was The Desperate Housewives of China were burning up the phones with texts while the husbands just carried on at work. I decided to go to lunch with Stine just to get out of the apartment for awhile.
Cameron had a birthday party at Truman's house after school on Wednesday. I had Mr. Xue take us over after school. When I came out of the apartment from dropping Cameron off Mr. Xue was gone. He must have thought he didn't need to take me home. Luckily the party was at Royal Palace which is next to our apartment...a 5 minute walk. I thought it was funny he left. Cameron didn't really enjoy the party very much but he survived. It was an all boy party. There was an all 4th grade girl party in the same complex so we were teasing Cameron that the party would mix and he better not be kissing any girls. He was all red faced and embarrassed.

Friday I helped with the MOPS program again. It actually was pretty fun. I played with Mavis and Bella most of the time. There were 4 little ones there and every one was perfect. The time went much faster than the first time I helped.
At 12:00 Megan, Stine, and I went over to Ashanti. We took a big bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne to Anthony. After some very long discussions he finally was able to purchase Ashanti from the Chinese owner. It was either close the restaurant or buy it. Thank goodness he finally got a the deal he wanted. There were suppose to be 8 at lunch but only 3 of us ended up making it. Anthony was surprised and very excited about the flowers and champagne. He is a great guy and deserves to own the restaurant.
