Dr. Seuss

It was Dr. Seuss week at school this week.  The school had all kinds of different activities for the kids.  On Friday it was dress up day.  All week Cameron said he was not dressing up.  Claudia asked if Owen could borrow his Thing 1 costume.  I took it to school on Thursday to give to her but Cameron said Alfredo talked him in to dressing up again.  Seriously, why was it so hard for him to make up his mind?  I felt bad telling Claudia he couldn't use the costume after all.

Thursday night we decided Cameron better try on the costume.  I was worried the pants were not going to fit him.  After all, it was a year ago since he last wore it.  He put them on.  A little tight but not too bad.  I stretched them out a little and then they were perfect. 

This morning he jumped into his costume and put his wig on.  We needed to trim a few pieces of hair so they were not in his eyes.  He looked perfect.  We went down to Carrasco's to get a few pictures before heading to school.

The 3 crazy Things.

Once at school Cameron noticed no one else we saw walking in had costumes on.  The look on his face was hilarious.  He was nervous and embarrassed.  He wouldn't get out of the van.  Mr. Xue was laughing and looking at me like we were crazy.  He finally got out but he wanted me to walk inside with him. I walked him up to his class so I could ask if there was a parade.  On the way to the class Cameron kept hiding behind me every time we would see a person.  2 out of 12 kids in the hall were dressed up from his class.  He was happy again when he saw Alfredo and Manuel dressed up next door.  I was a little worried but I knew he would be fine when I saw his smile again.
