Marcela's Birthday

The boys were still up at midnight.  I saw lights so I got up to investigate.  Cameron was in his bed and Alfredo was in the Wii room with the lights on, door shut, and playing with Cameron's Skylanders.  I asked Cameron what was going on.  He said "He will not stop talking and I am tired so I came in my room."  I said good night to Cameron and went in the Wii room.  I told Alfredo it was time to go to bed.  He put the toys away and laid down.  I shut the light off and went back to bed.  I didn't hear another word until 7:00.

Around 10:00 we decided to take a walk.  It was pretty clear again.  We walked to Tesco, then to Vanguard, then to Ren Ren La.  Grabbed some cheeseburgers from McDonald's for Cameron and then walked home.  It was a nice walk. 

The kids played, Todd grilled Salmon, and then we went down to Carrasco's around 8 so we could give Marcela her birthday present.  She was excited to show us her new art desk she got from her family.  She opened our presents and was happy with them too. 

We couldn't get them to get any closer together.  Cameron tried to put
his arm around Marcela but she would have no part of it.

Alejandro was eating grapes.  Here was our conversation.
Me:  Don't those have seeds in them?
Ale:  Yes, but I don't care.
Me:  Don't you know a grape tree will grow in your belly if you eat the seeds?
Alfredo jumps is and said:  Oh, I've heard a story like that before but it was watermelon seeds.
Me:  Yep, I have heard that too.
Ale:  But I don't eat mud.
For a second we all were like WHAT? but then we realized because seeds get buried in dirt.  I started laughing and told Ale he is such a smart boy and that was true..  But then Todd said "What about those plants that grow in water?"  Alejandro got a weird look on his face and ran off yelling "I'm going to have a tree in my belly".

As we chatted with Fredy and Ileana, Marcela made us 2 thank you cards with some of her new art supplies.  Such a sweet girl.  We stayed about an hour and then went back up to our place.  Cameron worked out and then we went to bed.
