Papa Kits

We ate breakfast and went back to the room for a little bit. We then jumped in the car at 9 and headed back to Papa Kits to try one more time to do their activities. No rain in sight so we should be good. Made the 45 minute drive. Things looked quite different since there wasn't torrential downpours. We saw lots of shacks with lots of laundry hanging all over trees or fences.

We arrived at Papa Kits and we went zip lining first. Cameron and I decided to go Superman style while Todd chose to go regularly. They hooked Cameron up first. It was 800 meters to an island flying over water. Our guide went with on the second line with Cameron and filmed him the whole way. He kind of looked like a dead Superman...arms and feet down not out. It was my turn. I had to kneel on one step then lean down to the next step to get flat. He said go and they pushed me out. Flying over the water we could see sea stars which was pretty cool. About half way across my legs and stomach started to hurt a little where the harnesses were. It wasn't very comfortable going Superman style. I could see my shadow over the water and I thought I had perfect Superman form. When I got to the end I was a little nervous as to how I was going to stop. They had a brake and a guy pulled a rope. It shot me upright and I landed on the platform. Phew. Todd went last all by himself.
There were a lot of chickens around.

Getting our harnesses on.

Ready to fly.

The Wallace's ready to zip line.

Looking at the island where he is headed.

There he goes...dead Superman.

I made a good Superman.

Time to go back. This time Todd and Cameron went at the same time. The guide went with me and filmed me the whole way. We all were safe on the other side. They unharnessed all of us. We were going to ride ATV's next but they said "not available" even though they were all sitting right there. Oh well.
Superman pose didn't get much better.

I'm coming in for a landing.

Good thing they have safety first.

Cameron did the rope climbing, hanging bridge obstacle course thing. He did great until it came to this swing thing into a net. He was not sure about it. We had a guy show him what it was like and then he did it no problem. Later he was mad that he even hesitated. I told him it is better to be safe than sorry. He continued the course with the guide. He was sweating terribly so he jumped in the air conditioned car to cool off. Back out of the car to have a drink before we made the journey back to the hotel.
Climbing high.

Crashing into the cargo net.

Moving steps are no problem for him.

Trying to cool off.

Another crazy chicken stalking us.

We stopped at the Shrine again to see if they had a guitar pick but they didn't. We still had a little time left so Todd asked our driver to take us to the end of the island. Nothing to see really. Back to the hotel. When we pulled up there were dancers and instruments. A bus pulled in and they started to play and dance. We don't know who these people were but they certainly had quite a welcome.

Put our suits on and headed to the beach. We did a banana boat ride. Thank goodness we only payed for 15 minutes instead of 30. It was a blast but with all the bumping around and holding on my arms were tired. We had a lot of laughs on the banana boat. At one point Cameron was off the banana side ways holding on for dear life. He pulled himself back on. We continued on. The next big wave Cameron flew straight up in the air with nothing touching except his hand on the handle. It was hilarious. The whole ride Cameron was riding only hanging on with one hand like a cowboy. It was a fun ride.

Cameron and I got in a kayak next while Todd snorkeled. We paddled out to the dock so Cameron could jump off of it a few times. We let the wind push us back to shore. We grabbed snorkel stuff but by the time we got it all on Todd was on the shore. Cameron and I still went out. We went to the roped off spot of the reef because Todd said there was a lot to look at and was cool. He was right. We snorkeled around for about 20 minutes. It was pretty rough waters so I was feeling a little sick but not bad. I was glad to be on the shore again for awhile.

We ordered a Hawaiian pizza for Cameron and some beef skewers for me. While we waited for it to come we went to the pool. Todd and Cameron played some basketball while I just stood watching. Back to the beach for lunch. Cameron loved the pizza. My food was good too.

We decided to head up to the room to take a break before going to the lounge. I showered and Cameron watched some videos on the Internet trying to learn to play his guitar. So funny.

Up to the lounge. A few snacks, a couple games of go fish, and back to the room to watch the 3rd Bourne movie. Off to bed.
