Thanksgiving Dinner

Cameron finally arrived home from his birthday party at 12:10 p.m.  He came in and we could tell immediately he was in a bad mood.  Well, come to find out they hardly slept.  He was exhausted.  After about 5 minutes I told him I had had enough and he needed to go lay down.  I told him I did not want to see him again.  He fell asleep instantly.  He woke up 3 hours later.

After getting up he was still in some kind of funk.  I made him Ravioli to eat and just left him alone.  I was going to walk to Times and he asked if he could go with me.  He ate and got dressed.  He had a bit of a problem getting dressed though.  He was trying to be ready for Thanksgiving dinner later on. The pants he wore on his "date" on Wednesday no longer were comfortable enough to wear.  I let him wear sweats which I was not happy about but there was nothing else for him to wear.  We left.  It is what he needed.  He got a second wind and was perfectly fine the rest of the day.

When we got home from Times Cameron asked if he could play outside with the kids.  They had been up twice while Cameron was sleeping.  We told him we didn't think he needed to since he was with them all night and we were leaving to go to Rachel's for Thanksgiving in an hour.  He agreed.

We packed everything up to go.  Jumped in the van and headed to Harwood's for Thanksgiving Dinner.  All the food looked awesome and the turkey was huge.  Lots of people too.  We got there around 5:10 and we ate around 6:00.  Cameron was dying laughing because Wesley was dressed up like a girl.  He couldn't believe it.  He thought he was a goofball.

There were kids everywhere.  Running, screaming, climbing all over furniture, throwing things...complete chaos.  Cameron was looking around like 'what in the world'?  The three of us sat on the couch to eat and just watched.  I looked at Todd and said "It's times like this that really make you realize what a great kid we have".  I was so scared someone was going to get hurt.  The food was really, really good.  I ended up eating way too much.  We don't have turkey and mashed potatoes ever.  Yum!

We have so much to be thankful for.

The boys chillin' out.

Marcela got her hair all braided.  Cute.

Rachel organized the cutest game for all the kids.  They were given a cookie.  They rolled dice and depending on what number they got they received a part of the turkey.  They had to keep rolling until they had every piece.  If they rolled doubles they had to eat a piece.  I definitely have to remember that game when I start teaching again.

Brendon thought Todd was his Daddy...until he looked up.

We left around 7:45.  Cameron was tired and ready to go home and watch a movie.  We were ready too.  It was a nice night hanging with our friends.

Back home.  Showered, watched the Simpson's, and went to bed.
