Swimming

I decided to make real chocolate chip cookies. I did not use Betty Crocker just add water packets. I actually added and mixed all the ingredients. I don't know if it was the different kind of butter or what but they didn't turn out so good. They were fine and still tasted alright but they just didn't taste the way they do at home. The bummer part was I burned about 10 of them too. Luckily Alfredo was here and he likes burnt cookies. I thought my Dad was the only odd ball who liked burnt cookies. Guess not. Nobody seemed to mind that they weren't perfect.

At 3:00 we walked over to the Renaissance with Hindman's. Carrasco's were already there. The kids were playing games waiting for Fredy to be done running. Crazy Ileana ran the whole time...11.8 miles. Jahmy also ran. Carrie, Todd, and I watched the kids. Fredy swam for awhile. The 6 kids swam until 4:30 when we finally made them get out. They had so much fun. They would have stayed all night if we would have let them. Poor Marcela didn't take her swim suit because she thought the water would be freezing. Instead it was like bath water. So needless to say she was mad. Carrie and I felt bad for her. I told her from now on always bring it just in case.

When we first got to the pool there was a Chinese man swimming. Cameron looked down and said "mom, he is wearing underwear". Oh my goodness. I looked and it was thin, white, boxers. We could totally see his butt crack. The rest of the group noticed too. When he got out Carrie, unfortunately, was looking that direction and said "oh man, I didn't need to see that". Of course without thinking I turned my head. We could see everything. Then he put a robe on and strutted off. The bad part was he didn't tie the robe shut. Ick!

All the kids enjoying the water.

All day I felt like November 11 was a special day but couldn't figure out why. It finally dawned on me. Last year it was ladies night in Beijing for 11-11-11. That was a fun night.
