Vacation Time--Bali, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Friday...In the car on the way to the airport Cameron called Grandpa to wish him a happy birthday.  He disguised his voice and when Grandma answered he said "Um, yes, can I please talk to Chuck?"  My mom ran down to the shower where my dad was and told him he needed to take this call because she had no idea who it was. Cameron had a HUGE smile.  When my dad said hello Cameron said "Um, Chuck, I hear it is your birthday".  My dad immediately said "Thanks Cameron."  My mom was dying in the background because she was tricked.  We got a good laugh out of that.

Tricking Grandma.

Jumped on the plane in Tianjin and realized we had Business Class seats.  Our chairs laid almost flat.  Todd also rented little portable computers that have movies, tv shows, games, etc. on them.  We had some pretty good food.

I was freezing waiting to go into the International flight spot.

Here we go.

These seats ROCK!!  Thanks Dad.

I switched seats with Todd so him and Cameron could watch Sherlock Holmes.

After a 6 hour flight we landed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We walked to the Tune Hotel which was about a 10 minute walk.  Checked into our 2 rooms.  There can not be more than 2 people per room. We were handed 3 towels and up to the rooms which were next door to each other thank goodness. Opened the door and immediately run into the bed.  First thing out of my mouth was "holy shit" (sorry but I couldn't help it).  It is like the Geico commercial where the couple are way too big for their house.  Think small and then go smaller.  Quite funny but ok for the 7 hours we were there.  It was loud...people talking and slamming doors.  The power went out just as I was finally getting comfortable.  I heard Todd open his door so I did too.  We discussed the power situation.  He ran down to the desk to ask.  It was off in the entire hotel.  Back on, back off, I finally fell asleep. Todd said it went on and off 4 times.  Crazy hotel but good concept.  You only pay for what you want.  We chose to pay extra for air conditioning, towels with little packets of shampoo/conditioner and soap, and one time use of hair dryer.  Both rooms cost less than $100.  Weird.

Welcome to Tiny Tune.

This is the walk in closet.
