30 WEEKS IN CHINA---Moline to Detroit was a cake walk.  Waited around for 4 hours in Detroit.  Got Wendy's for lunch then hung out in the lounge.  Went to the gate, boarded, taxied out to take off and the plane suddenly stopped.  Announcement came on asking for a doctor.  Some commotion going on behind us so we couldn't see anything except an oxygen mask being taken out.  Taxied back in and stopped by a couple fire trucks and an ambulance.  So much for being an hour early.  I felt bad for the person though.  EMT's boarded the plane and a couple others.  Next thing there were police walking on.  Todd speculated that the person didn't want to get off the plane so they called in the police to help him make his decision a little easier.  A man and two women got off the plane along with all the others.  Announcement was made that it would be a half hour or forty minutes because they had to get the luggage and get a new flight plan.  Finally took off.  Luckily we had individual screens so we could watch any movies or tv shows we wanted.  A few meals later we were safely on the ground in Beijing a half hour later than scheduled.  Went through customs, grabbed the luggage, and found our driver Mr. Guo.  Mr. Hu couldn't pick us up because he broke his hand washing the van or something.  We do not know all the details yet but we know he can't drive for at least a month.  Poor guy.  We sort of know Mr. Guo because he was Cuevas's last driver that they just got rid of.  We always seem to get their old drivers when we have a sub.  Loaded up the van and headed home.  Finally arrived in the apartment at 2:40 a.m.

Once inside Cameron showered and then realized Santa had made a visit.  He left him an electronic dart board with lots of extra darts and tips.  He also left him the Lego Harry Potter Bus.  That was a nice surprise.  He wanted some cereal because he was starving.  Luckily the milk we have has a year shelf life.  Gross.  I had some beef jerky and a Coke Zero.  Not much to choose from.  We got all the air purifiers up and running again and Todd worked on getting all the other electronics hooked back up.  I unpacked.  Got all 9 bags unpacked and mostly put away and started laundry.  We only had to wash all the new clothes we bought.  Mostly pants for Cameron to wear to school since they only seem to last a couple of weeks.  5:00 a.m. I started working on the blog to get that finished.  Todd went to work around 7:00.  Cameron played a little bit of everything. We watched a movie thinking we might fall asleep.  Nope.

Eating cereal at 3:00 a.m.

Santa left a little surprise.

If anyone hears Cameron say he has nothing to do...he is not telling the truth.

At 11:00 there was a knock at the door.  Yikes, I had showered but I put my pj's on with a sweatshirt, glasses on, no make up, and hadn't done my hair.  I peeked outside and it was Andres, Eric, Donna, and their ayi.  We opened the door and the boys kicked there shoes off and went to play.  I asked if they were staying and Donna said yes.  Ok then...please come in...or you already are in. Cameron was very happy to have someone to play with.  They stayed until 12:15.  Cameron and I then finished putting everything away except for my clothes.  I need to buy hangers.

3:30 Mr. Guo picked us up to go to the store.  We are in desperate need of food.  We picked Todd up on the way home.  Had dinner, lounged around, then watched a movie.  Early to bed.  We can't wait to sleep in our own beds.
