Heading to Bali, Indonesia

Saturday...Left tiny hotel and got McDonald's for breakfast at the airport.  We waited for our flight. Got decent food on the plane.

A little Malaysian McDonald's to get us started.

We bought Cameron some Singapore Ghost Stories to read.

Get ready Bali...the Wallace's are coming.

Just waiting patiently.
Landed in Bali and were immediately greeted by a person from he hotel.  She took our passports and got our Indonesia visas, got us through customs, then got us to the driver.  So easy. We are now eight degrees below the equator.  Wow!   Raining pretty good so it took longer to get to the hotel then normal.  Hotel is wonderful.  Checked in and greeted with some weird drink and a wet towel.

This is Bali.

View from the hotel lobby.

Walked to our room where a girl was waiting to tell us all about our stuff.  We are in a suite which is huge with its own plunge pool and back yard.  Awesome.  Cameron swam while Todd went to the convenient store for drinks and snacks.
Our backyard with our own pool.

The bedroom.

View from one door in the bedroom to the living room.

View from the door by the pool.

The bathroom.

View from the tub back to the pool.  There is a middle dressing area.

The pool.

So pretty.

View from the front door.

View from the patio doors to the front door.

Keeping dry under a big leaf.

View from the backyard.  The beach and building where weddings take place.

Cameron really wants to get in.

Finally.

He spent 526,700.  Wow!  That translates to 58 bucks.  The guy asked "Are you sure you want a whole case of beer?" I think we can handle that.

Good tasting beer.

A few snacks.

Stocked refrigerators.

Dad joined Cameron in the pool.

We went to the lounge.  Much more formal than the lounges we are use to.  Had some drinks, snacks, and played UNO. After the lounge we headed to dinner at Eight Degrees South which is on the beach. It cleared off and was a beautiful night. Great dinner too.  Back to the room for a bath for Cameron then watched Iron Man.  Off to bed.

A little snack.

The snacks were yummy.

Cheers to our first night in Bali.

I received a rose at dinner.

Todd's appetizer.

Beef satays.
