Wallace's Wonderful Adventure: Monday in Bali

Monday...breakfast delivered again. It poured while we were eating. We watched the playoff games and then headed to the beach. First up was Cameron driving a jet ski. There really are not any kind of guidelines in Bali from the looks of it. Todd was on the back and they rode for 15 minutes. I was on the beach nervous because there were tons of jet skis and boats pulling banana boats and flying fish all over the place. They are all in the same spot. How no one crashes is beyond me. Cameron loved driving the jet ski.

Next up was him and I on the banana boat. There were 2 guys who work for the company riding with us. Started off just riding along. We almost got hit by a jet ski. The worker behind me started yelling and the person she was driving with grabbed the bars and turned it. Told you it was dangerous. More riding along. Then we hit some big waves and Cameron flew off, the guide went off I think going after Cameron, and I went off because Cameron did...not because I couldn't hold on. The other guy stayed on laughing. They apologized but once they saw Cameron and I laughing they knew we didn't care. Back on, rode some more, and then got tossed off again right at the beach. It was fun and Cameron fulfilled his lifelong dream of riding a banana boat.

Last him and I went on a tube ride. The only words to describe this is...oh my gosh!!, I was on the back left, Cameron in the middle, and a worker on the right. This was by far the roughest ride I have ever been on. Plus I had sand on the bottom where I was sitting and it rubbed on my legs and back the entire time. I thought for sure I would be bleeding. Also sand rubbed on my right hand and Cameron's too. His finger was bleeding and I got a big blister. I thought about making myself fly out just so I could rest but I was afraid it would hurt. Crazy, wild, fun, painful ride. Played a little longer then went in the suite to get ready to go to lunch. Awesome lunch at Suku. After lunch Cameron went and made a Chinese lantern. It turned out cool. Back to the room to put suits on.

Back to the beach. Cameron made a sand castle. He wished grandma was there to build with him but we talked about what she would do to help. We realized a storm was moving in so we headed back to the suite. Once in the back yard it started to sprinkle. We all jumped in our pool and it started pouring. Who cared...we were in the pool! It rained for about 10 minutes. We got out of the pool, cleaned up again, headed to the lounge for snacks and drinks and UNO, then went to Suku for a Chinese new year buffet. Good food. There was a Baron dance show too. I have to be honest and say I had no idea what the story was about. The drink of the night was vodka, dragon fruit, sweet and sour, and strawberry. We felt we had to order one. It was not too bad. Better than I expected. We thought of our home and friends in China tonight for sure. Happy Chinese New Year. Headed back to the room and watched G. I. Joe. Then bed time.
