Up at 6:00. Why? Because Todd was up so he thought we should all get up so we could go to breakfast. Showered and headed down to the restaurant.
After breakfast we sat in the room until 7:30. We walked over to our apartment to mentally prepare for the pack out. One lady and one guy showed up at 9:50. They told Todd they had trouble with the other truck and more guys would come later. Not off to a great start.
They went back to the truck and they didn't come back to the apartment. Finally at 10:15 Todd went down to see what in the world they were doing. Finally in the apartment and packing.
I walked over to the hotel to get the video camera around 11. When I got back there were 3 more guys and they were packing like crazy. Todd called one guy a packing Ninja. There was so much tape being used and you could hear it ripping off the rolls clear down the hall. I thought I might have nightmares after listening to that all day. Plus, it smelled. Part was the boxes and part the tape. The other part was smelly Chinese food either on the workers clothes or breath. I thought that was going to make me puke. Once I was in it for awhile I got use to it. Cameron was in the wii room with Manuel and when he opened the door and walked out he commented on how bad it smelled. I ran into Stine in the hallway and was telling her about the smell. A couple hours later she text me and told me I was not kidding. She could smell it in the hallway too. Gross.

Beginning to make a dent. |

Todd stood like this all day watching. |

These guys were in charge of the furniture. |
Things were getting done and were going smoothly. At 12:50 the lady said they were going to go to lunch and they would be back at 2:00. No problem. We ordered Papa John's and had it delivered. Cameron and Manuel must have been starving because they ate a ton.

Lunch break. |
Promptly at 2:00 the packers arrived. Back to packing. All of the sea shipment was packed so they started hauling it out to two trucks. One guy started wrapping the air shipment. He had to take some things out of tubs to put in boxes for safer riding. Just when we thought all was good the lady decided we had too much in our air shipment. A couple boxes had to be opened to take winter clothes out and put fall clothes in. Hopefully I won't need winter clothes too soon. Not a big deal it just slowed the momentum down.

Shirts rolled up, smoking...break time. |
I left the apartment around 6:00 to go back to the hotel. Cameron left with Manuel and his family at 4:00 to go swimming so I thought I had better get back to check on him. I grabbed Cameron and went to the room. He quickly showered and we ran up to the lounge to see what kind of food they had. It was a gross night for me. I took some beef but I couldn't get past the smell so I didn't even try it. Cameron devoured seafood pasta. He bit a chunk out of his lip and it started bleeding something fierce. Dave, who we met at the Parrot, was talking with me and noticed the blood. We thought it was a loose tooth at first until we saw the chunk missing. Drank a little water and carried on eating.
Ileana brought Alfredo up to the lounge to meet us so he could go back to our room for a bit. I got a call from Todd saying I needed to run something back to the apartment. I ran the boys up to the room and then I ran over to the apartment.
They were just loading the truck with the last of our stuff. The apartment was empty. Weird feeling. We grabbed the Xbox stuff and walked back to the hotel. Cameron and Alfredo were jamming to music when we walked in. Had a little food, watched Up, then off to bed.
Overall things went great. What was scheduled for a two day pack out only took one. They arrived at 9:45 and were gone by 7:15. Todd and I had the prep work done. Thank goodness Todd knows what needs to be done to make things easier.
