Kelly decided she wanted to go to the SOS clinic for the ickness she had going on. We had breakfast and headed out the door at 8:55. We walked into the clinic and Dr. Wang (pronounced Wong) was standing there. He greeted us and I explained the situation. They said they could see her right away. We went to the desk to deal with Steven, the receptionist. He looked at me and said "Cameron's mom?" I said yes but was amazed. We had only had Cameron there once for his ears. Pretty amazing they remember. Everyone at the clinic were very nice.

The place we were hoping to not have to go to. |
Kelly filled out some paperwork. We had Scott take a picture of her standing at the desk. Stephen said "I didn't pose" so he had to take another one. Too funny. The nurse took her and Scott back to the room. I waited in the waiting area. After about 15 minutes Dr. Wang came out and walked over to me. He said "You did right thing. She need antibiotic now." He then walked away. I felt like I was the mom.
At 9:45 they were walking out. We were all sitting in the waiting room. Kelly showed me the pictures they took in the room. Dr. Wang gave Kelly a bear to pose with. Kelly also said the nurse insisted on helping her get her gown on. So funny. Dr. Wang told Kelly when you are traveling it can lower your immune system. She said "From all of the stress?" He said "No, from the excitement." And she said "No, from stress." Dr. Wang also went on and on about the rabies shot to them. He told them they should have had it before they came to china. Ummm, too late and that isn't what we were there for. It was confirmed Kelly had Shingles...or Herpes as Todd called the whole rest of the time she was visiting.

All done. |
Dr. Wang got the prescriptions and then pulled up a chair to discuss them with Kelly. He then had Scott try on a rubber glove to use to apply the ointment. It was way to small. Dr. Wang looked surprised by this. He got some bigger ones and Scott got his hand in it but then the whole middle of it ripped out. We all started cracking up laughing. Dr. Wang walked over to the air conditioner to show Scott how to dry his hand before putting the glove on. Funny.

It is still Christmas at the clinic. |
Scott was wrapping up the payment stuff and Stephen gave Scott his personal card. He then asked Scott to email him the picture that he took. Stephen must have been excited about that.
Overall our visit to the SOS clinic in TEDA was a pleasant one. Everyone was extremely nice and Dr. Wang was very thorough and great to Kelly,
Back to the apartment. It was pouring down rain. Bummer. We walked in and I realized the dishes had been done. Grace, Griffin, and Cameron did them. Such sweet children. I asked if they had been prompted and Grace replied "Um, yeah". Doesn't matter, they still did them. We watched "Up". Then we ate lunch.

Chillin'. |

Ta da. Nice work kids. |
At 1:00 we went to the Tanngu Bund. We walked around there. The Ronnebeck's couldn't get enough of the birds. Ok, actually they were creeped out that the Chinese were buying food, feeding them, and chasing them around. Weird. We ran into Mickey Mouse. He posed for a lot of pictures with the kids. The costume seemed to be clean and new too. After pictures he asked for money. Go figure.

Funny. |
We walked across the street to Walking Street. There is a big mall but we went into the three floor total Chinese mall instead. First floor was anything from underwear to swim gear. Grace bought some finger nail polish. Second floor was clothes and third floor was shoes. And when I say shoes I mean probably 10,000 pairs of shoes. It is massive. You see the same shoes over and over if you walk around but the floor is huge.

So much stuff. |

Chinese souvenirs next to underwear. Interesting. |
Griffin and Cameron each found a pair of shoes they liked...the same pair. They each decided they had to have them. They were about $20 so we said yes. Then it was Grace's turn to look. She found one pair and they asked her size. When I said 43 in Chinese they looked at me like I was crazy and then looked at her food. "Oh, da" (oh big). They brought them out and Grace loved them. She then found another pair with a monkey on them. They brought them out and she loved those too.

Funky. |

So many shoes. |
 |
Shoes everywhere. |

Second floor was clothes. The blanket hanging up is the changing room. |
We went over to the pay station and paid. They put them in a bag and we went on our way. Scott wanted to try and find a pair of sandals so we walked around. He didn't see anything he liked.
Back out to the van and off for home. On our way I remembered we needed to go to the veggie market. We hit the one on 3rd avenue. Inside we went to my veggie lady. Picked out some veggies then went to the fruit lady. Bananas, grapes, and apples were purchased. The first apple Kelly touched she let out a screech type thing and we asked what was the matter. I thought there was a bug or something. Nope, the apple was just mushy.
Off for home. Cleaned the veggies and fruit and made a big chocolate chip cookie. Watched some tv...when the satellite allowed. Alejandro and Alfredo were up playing with the boys.
We hung out until we went to dinner at 6:00. We walked across the street to Ashanti. We had dinner and then Anthony sent out desert. It was cheese cake and nanaima bars. Grace took a bite and didn't like them. Griffin took a bite and said "These are good". Grace said "It's rare that you hear that. Griffin doesn't usually like something I don't like". Griffin took a bigger bite and said "Whoa, that was too big of a bite". He didn't like them after all.

After dinner we walked home. We watched one of Grace's video assignments. It was funny. We then watched her 8th grade video collection of pictures from preschool to 8th grade. So cute. Then we watched Clipaholics. I wish everyone could have heard my brother laughing. Listening to him made everything more funny. Off to bed.
