St. Patrick's Day

Cameron woke up and I made him green pancakes, green milk, and there was a rainbow treat on the table for him.  He forgot it was St. Patrick's Day.  Todd, Bill, and Cameron were headed past Beijing to a new section of the Great Wall.  They were all packed and ready but the fog was terrible so they couldn't go.  They ended up at the movies to see John Carter.  They said it was horrible.  I was in a photography class at TIS for the day.  While we were gone the Leprechauns broke in and made a mess.  They dropped "poop" as Todd called it all over.  It was really Reese's Peanut Buttercups.  It started at the front door, through the dining room, took out a book from Cameron's book bag and read, another trail through Cameron's room as they destroyed his bed and played with toys, then the trail ended in the Wii room where they played the Wii.  If we ever catch that Leprechaun he is in big trouble.

Great way to start St. Pat's.

He seems happy.

Being a goof.

Rainbow treat.

The "poop" through the house.

"Poop" through his room.

Leprechauns played Wii.
On Friday Ileana and I decided we would make a Leprechaun catcher cake.  We attempted to make a  rainbow cake.  Between the two of us it took almost an hour just to get the cake made and into the oven.  Betty Cooker (as Ileana called her) we are not.  Once out of the oven Ileana decorated it.  It turned out adorable.   Saturday night we went to Carrasco's for dinner.  It was time to cut the cake.  The first piece came out and we heard "Well that is odd" and "that is weird".  The rainbow part of the cake didn't quite turn out.  I said it looked like the rainbow threw up.  It tasted good and we tried.  That is all that matters.  The kids played some Dance Party and other things.

This is the cake before it is baked.
The kids are ready for some cake.

The finished product.  We didn't catch a Leprechaun.

The inside.  It should have been flipped over.

The kids dancing but Alejandro had to jump in to get in the picture.

Alejandro is good at tricks.  Maybe a future in the circus.
