Proud Parents

You have those moments (hopefully frequently) as a parent when you look at your child and think "Man, how did we get so lucky".  Today was definitely one of those days.  I went to pick Cameron up at school today and he immediately said I had to go talk to Ms. Williamson...the principal.  WHAT?  He said "No, I am not in trouble?"  We went into her office and sat down.  She started telling me that Cameron was selected to the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth summer program.  WOW!!  I had no idea what this meant but I knew it had to be good.  This center does a global talent search and takes the students who scored at or above the 95th percentile on standardized tests.  Cameron missed getting in on reading by 2 points but he was selected because of his math scores.  He now has to take a SCAT test which will determine the opportunities he can take advantage of.  COOL!!  Way to go Cameron.  We are so proud of you!!   Stay tuned for what happens next.
