Bright Idea

Cameron was down playing at Carrasco's when Ileana got a great idea.  NOT!!  She decided she was going to take a scrub brush to her tile floor to see what would happen.  The result...the tile became white and clean.  She told me what she did and then showed me.  Unfortunately my brain decided to see if the same thing would happen at my apartment.  I scrubbed one tile--not much difference.  Tried the second tile--huge difference.  This turned into doing the entire kitchen and living room. 

Here is the deal.  Our apartments have tile that are rough with a lot of places that dirt can sneak into.  We thought the color they were was normal but come to find out they are filled with dirt.  We (well, our ayi's) can mop them forever but it doesn't get the dirt.  It takes the top layer off but that is it.  More of a pain than we first realized.

So after 3 hours of being on my hands and knees 1/2 of the apartment is clean.  From the dining room to the door still needs to be done.  I told my ayi she was going to help me.  If we finish it together it shouldn't take as long.  I'm just hoping she does as good of job as me. 

I'm never listening to Ileana again when she says she has an idea.

Terrible picture.  After I scrub I have to mop.  NO FUN!!
