Wisconsin Dells--Sunday

Mcguires picked us up at 6:45 am.  We were off to the Dells.  Everyone was very excited. After 2 1/2 hours Brenna started saying she had to go the bathroom.  She made it to the Wisconsin welcome center.  We all went and then back in the van.  The kids watched part of a movie until it started skipping.  They played video games, listened to music and talked.

Everyone being entertained on the way to the Dells.

Hello Wisconsin.

Finally arrived at Mt. Olympus.  There was already a line to wait to check in.  It was 10:30.  This was not a good sign.  It was going to be crowded.  Karen had a little problem with a credit she had but we finally had our wristbands and were ready to go.  They would send a text when the room was ready but we already had the keys. Back to the van to eat some food.

Hillbilly lunch...eating out of the van.

We were off to ride a roller coaster.  Well, everyone but me.  Then we drove go carts.  They were pretty fun. Gavin and Cameron crashed into each other.  The worker had to push them apart.  Karen got a text that the room was ready.  We went to the van to unload and went up to the room.  It was pretty nice. It had hardwood floors (which is genius), 2 queen beds, and bunk beds.  Unpacked and put suits on.  Off to the water parks.  Kids started out in the lazy river.  The water was freezing which was shocking since it was so hot out.  They then went to the water slides.  Karen and I lounged in chairs and then sat in the water.  The kids came back and said they only rode one slide because the lines were so long.

This ride broke down so the kids didn't ride it until later.

A flying bus ride.

Bumper car time.

Cyclopes roller coaster.

Lets go racing.

Off to the water parks.  Kids started out in the lazy river.  The water was freezing which was shocking since it was so hot out.  They then went to the water slides.  Karen and I lounged in chairs and then sat in the water.  The kids came back and said they only rode one slide because the lines were so long.

Off to the other side to check out those slides.  Still huge lines but they played in the big bucket dump area and had a blast.  They finally got a mat and rode the racing slides.  They then hit the wave pool.  But this one is different.  It shoots out one HUGE wave about every 4 minutes.  It hits so hard it makes everyone fly back with a ton of force.  It's cool.  Karen and I decided to sit in the water so we went to the very shallowest part thinking it would be fine when the wave hits.  Wrong!  It hit and it flung me sideways and then flipped me back and I did a backwards somersault.  Only one side of my hair got wet.  It felt like I scraped my thigh but I didn't.  Oh my gosh...I came up and Karen and I were dying laughing.  Then I looked up and realized there were a few people sitting in chairs right where we were and they were dying laughing.  I couldn't stop laughing.  I wasn't even embarrassed because it was so funny.  Then a guy came up and said he scraped his knee because he almost did the same thing as me.  Needless to say we didn't sit in the water again.

Going into the lazy river.

Cameron, Gavin, and Brenna are never too big for this area.

Can you find Cameron?

Brenna and Cameron racing.
The kids are staying back until they see what happens.

HUGE wave comes in.

Back to the room so we could call Todd.  Chatted with him and then went to Pizzaria UNO for dinner.  We ate way too much food but boy was it good.  We had a lot of left overs so that will be breakfast for me.  Back to the hotel.

Cameron's favorite pizza.

Yellow wristbands.

So much yummy food.

The parks had cleared out a little so we went to the roller coasters the kids tried to ride earlier.  The line was much shorter but it still took a half hour.  When the boys got off of it Cameron kept saying "that was crazy.". It was much faster and longer than what he was expecting.  He liked it though.  Next were different go carts.  They were fun and the track was pretty cool.  Karen and I aren't sure if all the boards were screwed in well but we all survived.

Hades...fast and went underground = awesome.

The parks were closing so we went back to the room.  Cleaned up and watched the Incredibles.  Brenna and Cameron looked at a book together and then we were off to bed.

Checking out a book together.

They even brush together.
