Mall of America--Saturday

Cameron and I got up at 7:45. Boy, Cameron never gets up that late. Must have been tired. Breakfast and then hit the water park. Cameron rode the surfing thing a couple of times. Then the boys were off to ride the body slides. When Grace and Kelly came down we decided to ride the family raft ride. Kelly, Grace, and I were going in a tube. Mom said she wanted to ride it again. We all said no way. She insisted so Scott rode with her. Scott jokingly told her if she started to scream he was going to punch her out.  She said she needed to prove to herself it was ok. The 3 of us went down laughing. Next was Scott and Mom. At the bottom Mom was way more relaxed and actually said it was ok. Scott said she wasn't screaming but she was making weird noises the whole way. Luckily this ride was much better for mom.
Waiting for Cameron to have his turn.

Cameron loves the flow rider.
Cameron and I going down the slide.
The boys on the family ride.

The look on Grace's face is hilarious.

We survived the family raft ride.

Scott and Mom made it too.

This look is nothing compared to the ride the day before.  I'm not sure why she looks like this.
Another raft ride.

Cameron and Grandma rode the ride too.

Planning their next move.

Taking a break.

My family.

Love these people.

More rides and slides and some water basketball. A couple trips around the lazy river and then we went to the room for lunch. My dad cooked up a bunch of brats that we took with us. What a great plan. Hung out for a bit and headed back to the water park. More slides, basketball, lazy river, and watched the surfing tournament. There were a bunch of people in the tournament so flow rider was closed for hotel guests from 10-5. It was cool to see some of the tricks these people could do.

Nice action shot.

I don't think the Bulls have anything to worry about with this team.

Underwater fun.

Lazy river.

The boys like to run in the lazy river.

Fast asleep on the lazy river.  Funny.
We also grabbed some snacks at the pool.  They have huge ice cream cones.

That is a lot of ice cream.

Yummy.
The boys decided to hit the little kid section.  They were being goofy going down the little slides.  They played in that section for about 20 minutes.  Funny.

Baby slide.

Wheeeeee.

Sucking his thumb.  Weird.

Racing slides.

Kelly and I ran up to the room at 4:20 to take showers. I was back at the pool at 4:50 so I could watch Cameron surf standing up. Everyone else went to rooms and I stayed with the boys. At 5:00 they had a 10 minute safety check so no swimming. We went to the flow rider and watched life guards surf. Finally it was open for everyone again. Cameron wanted to try real surfing. He has always done it on his belly. The guard showed him how to surf. He helped him get on the board, pushed him out, and them let go. Cameron stood for about 8-10 seconds. Then he turned and wiped out. Up to the room to talk to Todd then off to dinner.

Getting a lesson.

Getting on the board.

Moving out to the water.  The guard let go.

Wipe out!

We went to the restaurant in the hotel.  We walked in and it was freezing so we asked if we could sit out on the patio.  A storm rolled through earlier and it cooled down.  It was perfect sitting outside.  We ate and had some drinks.  It was good.  Back up to the room.  Hung out a little.

I had to iron Cameron's new shirt to set it.  This picture got a lot of mileage from my family.

So much airbrushing.

We are so happy with our coozies.

We had a beer for Todd.

Lounging.

Grace telling one of her stories.

Relaxing a little.

Yay, Grandpa is wearing our Bali shirt.

Mom, Kelly, and I took the kids down to the arcade.  They played games and won tickets.  Then they had to decide what to "buy" with those tickets.  The boys shared and came out with little basketball hoops and balls.  Back to the room then off to bed.

Pop a shot.
Lots of games.

Griffin won.
