I have made it very clear that I was unhappy with my hair the last time it was done. I have no idea what color to call it...yellow, white, orange, red...who knows? Some of my friends went to Euro Plaza in Beijing to West Salon to get their hair done. They were all very happy. They even mentioned the stylists fixed a Western persons hair that was orange. Ever since then I haven't been able to get it out of my mind so I finally decided to give it a try. I'm so tired of my hair being disgusting. Not only does it look bad but it feels bad too. They really messed it all up the last time I had it done.
I walked into the salon with Sharla ( she went with for moral support) they sat me in a chair and started looking at my hair. I could tell by the look on their faces they were thinking 'what the heck happened to her hair?' so I decided to say "Yeah, this color isn't working for me." They all seemed relieved that I didn't like the color. I had to pick a darker color so it would cover up every funky color I had going on along with the gray. It is much darker but at least it is a normal color. I'm sure once I am out in the sun a little it will lighten up. Plus, Lynette will work her magic in 6 weeks.
When I first saw Cameron he said "I liked it better the other way. It is really dark. I like the cut but I'm not sure about the color." Luckily I'm not interested in what a 9 year old thinks. But I thanked him for his words and then said "at least it is a normal color now." He agreed. I feel better and that is all that matters. It still isn't my favorite but at least it is better than the multi-color stuff I had going on.
Feeling nervous again. |
It is much darker but better I think. |
Cheers! |
Back in the van and headed to TEDA. Mr. Xue got us home in 1 1/2 hours. I think he thought we had to get Cameron but we didn't. Good day.
