Pretty cool old car. |
Cameron said, "Please don't pee on me". |
Cute elephants. |
Pretending to hold up the Marriott. Todd's on the 25th floor. See him? |
Cameron stopped to bust out the YMCA while watching himself. Whose kid is this? |
Checking out the fish. One only had one eye. Creepy. |
We went to Chaoyang Park so Cameron could do the Go Ape rope climbing activities. He wanted to try the hard course. He went up the first cargo net and when he got to the top he couldn't quite get himself up on the platform. He said he wanted back down and he wanted to do the medium course. Down he came and off we went to the different course. Of course, Todd had to go pay 90 RMB more before he could start. The medium course is longer so it costs more. He had a great time doing the course. Back to the van.
Todd going over the instructions again. |
The little girl in pink was so sweet. She kept asking us questions before they started. |
They had Cameron go first since he had done it before. |
The first spot on the difficult course. He decided to go back to the medium course. |
Small zip line. |
Waiting so patiently for his turn. |
Zip lining on the longer line. |
Pretty high up in the trees. |
Last zip line is done and the course completed. |
More Western grocery stores and then we went to lunch at New York Style Pizza. It is a super thin crust pizza. We had half Hawaiian and half Porko. It was very good. Thanks to the Hindman's for telling us about it.
Good pizza. |
We stopped at Euro Plaza next. Up to the 4th floor to look at the outdoor store. Then up to the 5th floor to look around the toy store. They sell Lego's. Cameron and I looked out the window and saw the huge jumpy jump thing out front blow over. It was folded in half like a taco. We stood there helpless. I yelled at Todd and he video taped it all. We then saw guards jumping bushes trying to get in the jumpy jump. Next a bunch of people ran over to help. Out jumped some kids that were in the jumpy jump. 2 guards jumped in and a few minutes later one guard crawled out of the folded over part with a little guy that was about 2. He made it to the side and the mom grabbed the little boy and was hugging him. I got tears in my eyes. I started thinking what if that was Cameron at that age. I would have freaked out. All the people finally got the jumpy jump flipped back over and everyone was ok. Hopefully the little boy was ok. I'm sure he was just scared. And probably the mom made him more afraid because of how she was acting. It was a little scary.
The jumpy jumped flipped. |
Finally got it flipped back over. |
Poor little boy that was stuck inside. |
We then headed to the airport to pick up Dan and Bill. They are in town for the week. Made the long drive back to TEDA. We dropped Todd off at the site, Dan and Bill off at the hotel, and then we finally got home. Unloaded all the groceries and got them put away. Relaxed and went to bed early.
