3:30 am and we were up getting ready to start our journey home. Mr. Xue was at the hotel at 4:10 to get us. We loaded up and headed to the airport. We were on the wrong road so Todd told Mr. Xue to turn around. He did and we got on a different road. Still not the correct road. Todd didn't think we would end up on the right road but luckily we did. At the airport Todd walked us in and took us to our first stop. We said our goodbyes and Cameron and I walked through the doors. Todd headed back to TEDA to go to work.
Once through the doors we went to the Delta desk to get our tickets. Then rounded the corner to go through passport control. Finally through security and to the lounge. We had a little food and then headed to our gate. We were literally the first people on the plane. Cameron said "Dad would be so proud". Found our seats and got comfy for the 11 1/2 hour flight. Talked to Todd one last time then up in the air we went.

On the plane we both watched movies, played some games (Ipad and Ds), I slept a little but Cameron never did, and ate 3 different times (not very tasty). Once in Detroit we hustled off the plane to get through customs, passport control, get our luggage, recheck our luggage, and security. We had a few hours to kill so we walked around the airport to find our gate so we knew right where we needed to be (we did not want to miss our flight). We then went to a restaurant for some real food. Cameron had a huge plate of french toast and I had an omelet. We both were very happy when we walked out of the restaurant.

Down to the gate. The whole time in Detroit I was trying to get internet access and couldn't. Finally got some. It was pretty annoying though because it kept kicking in and out. My China phone only works in China so we had no way to communicate with others. What did we ever do without cell phones before? Cameron commented on how nice it was to be in a place where nobody was staring at us like we were freaks. We also agreed how nice it was to be able to understand every conversation. We love America.
Finally on the plane for Moline. Quick 58 minute flight. Thank goodness since the two little boys behind us were singing along to their favorite nursery rhymes video (according to their dad) with no headphones on their Ipad. It was annoying and cute at the same time.
Once on the ground we walked out to find Mom, Dad, Griffin, and Aunt Sharon waiting for us. It was so good to see them. Grabbed the luggage and headed for home. As soon as Cameron saw Grandpa he handed him his Fathers Day present he was carrying in his back pack. Dad said they were both cool.

Once at home we walked in and Cameron said there was an Angel Food Cake. And home grown green beans. YUM! Mom and I enjoyed both of those while the boys played wii. We then watched Griffin and Cameron have a water gun fight. They were running around the yard laughing up a storm. I told Cameron to ask grandpa if he had a blue tarp to make a slip n slide. Dad said he did but I decided just to run to the Dollar Store to buy one so we can throw it away when we are done. Mom and I jumped in the car and went to the store. They didn't have one. We drove to Kmart. Bought a $7.99 Slip n Slide. Back home we set it up and poured liquid soap on it so they boys would go faster. They had a blast.

Scott, Kelly, and Grace came over and we had hamburgers and corn on the cob for dinner. They left and we cleaned up and went to bed. Cameron was to the point of delirious he was so tired. It was GREAT being home.
