Sunday morning we were watching the show Myth Busters. They were testing the theory that if you are blind folded with headphones on it is impossible to walk, swim, or drive in a straight line. The two guys took turns being blind folded and trying to walk straight in an open field. They each walked in circles and could not walk straight. We decided to try it out. We got a towel to blind fold Cameron and he could walk from the front door to the patio doors. Todd said it is not an accurate test because of the flooring he could feel. We went out to the open field at our apartment. We put a black stocking cap over Cameron's eyes then made him wear his hooded sweatshirt backwards so he could put the hood over his face too. We then put headphones with music on him. We picked a spot and sent him on his way. He immediately headed to the right. The second time he walked in a circle and far from where he wanted to go. I had to try. I thought for sure I was walking straight. Nope, way off to the right and almost ran into the fence but luckily Cameron was my guide and stopped me. It was definitely funny. I'm sure the people driving and walking by were thinking "What are those crazy Americans doing now?" Our conclusion...it is true you can't walk in a straight line when blind folded.
