Early Valentine's Day

We Skype with my parents on Sunday's so I thought it would be a good idea for him to open his Valentine's present from them while talking to them.  They sent it back with me when we were home at Christmas.  Cameron had no idea it was even close to Valentine's Day which made it funnier.  He read the card (after he shook it for money--there wasn't any) and then pulled the wrapping off the top.  He saw it was Block Builders and was super excited.  He saw these when we were in Chicago at the Marbles Store in January.  After we walked out of the store my parents said they needed to go to a store and they would meet us back at the hotel.  They actually snuck back in the store to buy the blocks.  We hid them in the bags coming home then I hid them in the apartment.  Great plan.  He also got a bag of M & M's which I proceeded to eat a few while he kept talking.

Reading the card with my parents on Skype.

Very excited.

After we hung up Cameron went right to work on figuring out the blocks.  They give cards with designs which he has to figure out which blocks to use.  The blocks open and then have different shapes.  You can open, close, rotate, flip, or stack the blocks.  Very confusing and a great mind activity.  Of course he wanted me to do it so he could laugh since I couldn't even do the easiest one.  You definitely have to have an architect/engineer kind of eye.  The blocks are made by Fat Brain and very cool.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.
He could hardly wait to get the box open.

Working on the first puzzle.

He decided it would be easier on the table.

Deep in thought.
