After getting
home on Sunday we were ready to get back into the swing of things and back to our routine. Monday morning Cameron woke up with a stomach bug. No School. In the afternoon he decided he needed to take his temperature even though he did not feel warm at all. Sure enough he had a low grade temp. He had this all afternoon. Tuesday morning same stomach bug but no temp. By afternoon he was feeling fine. He was chatty again and building Lego's. He was still having some stomach issues but we thought he was fine. Alfredo even came up to play after school. We thought for sure he was going to school on Wednesday but when he got up Wednesday he still had issues with his stomach. He was nervous to go to school. It wasn't worth it to send him and have him be miserable worrying and have me worried about him all day. It was better to keep him home one extra day to make sure he would be fine. We ran to the vegetable market in Tanggu to show him he would be ok if he left the house. We bought a lot of fruit and some chicken then went home. He was ok. Made it through the day and then he was upset because he thought he should have just gone to school. No worries I told him. He had been getting his homework each day so he was set to go back, he is bright so he wouldn't be behind, and it would be review since they had 5 weeks off. He would be fine. Thursday morning he woke up and back to feeling good. Went to school and all the boys came over to play once homework was finished. It was Marcela's birthday so we gave her some crafty thing. She brought them up and Ileana and I tried to help her build an owl. It didnt' work out so well. We couldn't quite figure out how to get it to work correctly. It was fun trying though.

Just add water and these are suppose to stick together to make something. It isn't very easy. |

The boys are all here...Manuel, Marius, Alfredo, Cameron, and Alejandro. |
Friday Cameron was back to normal. Friday night we had already all showered and were watching a Batman movie. Carrasco's sent a text asking to borrow Just Dance 3. We paused the movie and Cameron ran it down. They asked him to stay and of course he wanted to. They invited us down too. I had to get out of my pj's and we headed down. 3 hours and a few beers later we went home. Cameron ended up spending the night. They stayed up until 1:00 a.m.
Saturday we were heading to Beijing. Alfredo went with us. The boys came up to our apartment at 7:45 so we could leave at 8:00. We stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken to get breakfast sandwiches then head to Beijing. Our first stop was Beijing Hilton to pick up Bill, one of Todd's friends and co-workers. We were taking him to Teda with us. We went to a grocery store by the airport then Jenny Lou's, Mrs. Fields to buy brownies, and then to Sunny Gold Street. I had to return a purse because the zipper was broken and of course I ended up buying another one. This time a Guess one. Bill bought some stuff too. Todd, Cameron, and Alfredo ran to the DVD shop. Back in the van and off to the Kro's Nest to eat lunch. They had a Mexican Pizza on special this month and it was fantastic. We hit the Go Kart Track next. The 4 boys drove twice and then just the little boys raced one last time. Back in the van and headed home to Teda. The boys played some Biggest Loser with Jillian games on the wii board then they built some K'nex robots. Alfredo went home and we had dinner and finished the Batman movie.

Sunday morning we picked Bill up at 10:00 and headed to Tianjin for the day. We went to Decathlon first. We still needed to find some long underwear for Cameron to wear to Harbin. Got those and some hand, feet, and body warmers to use as well. I have no idea how well they will work but at 20 below zero in Harbin we need all the help we can get. Our next stop was Metro to buy more groceries. We had to make a stop at a mall on the way to lunch to get donuts. Cameron loves this donut store we found so we had to buy a 6 pack. He also picked out miniature donuts to try too. We went to lunch at Hank's. Cameron decided on breakfast burritos. He always gets breakfast for lunch at Hank's. Back in the van and headed to Teda. We dropped Bill off at the hotel and went home. Dinner, skyped my parents, then bed.

This is the area between the Men's and Women's bathroom at the mall. Interesting. |
