Friday

Today started off with coffee with the girls (and 2 guys).  There were about 15 of us at Starbuck's.  A couple more new girls just moved to Teda so it was nice to get to know them.  Headed back home to prepare for our guests.

At 4:00 I went down to Ileana's to help her with Marcela's 8th birthday party.  There were 10 girls in all.  And one boy came too.  We were freaking out but come to find out he was a brother to one of the girls so the grandma just sent them both to the party.  He was pretty bored since it was a girly party.  He sat in Marcela's room by himself most of the time.  The girls made t-shirts, made necklaces with candy and cereal, decorated cookies, ate, sang happy birthday, and ate cake.  They all had a blast.

At 6:00 Sharla, Will, Fredy, Ileana, Alfredo, Alejandro, Luz, and Jose Luis came over to plan our Harbin trip.  Todd made pizza's and we had a few drinks.  We watched Andrew Bourdain's Harbin trip to see what we are getting ourselves into.  We then watched Idiot Abroad in Mexico since we had quite a few from Mexico in our apartment.  A lot of laughs.  Sharla taught me how to use Bump on my Iphone.  Really cool app. unless you aren't paying attention and your phone goes flying out of your hand and lands on the floor.  It might have happened to me.  Some tried out Dance Party 3 with the kids and some rocked out to Rock Band.  Sharla decided to try on Cameron's snorkeling mask that takes pictures and movies.  There were a lot of laughs at this point.  Very fun night but we didn't really make any plans for Harbin.  We leave on Friday so I guess we are just going to trust Todd with his suggestions.  We love having people over.  Laughing is good for us.

These are some of the pictures Sharla took with the mask.  She had a hard time figuring out the picture or video mode.  Clearly she needs to practice a little more.  The video is like being on a roller coaster.  It is all over the place and makes you dizzy.  Funny times.
